Cashier lady has a smart mouth. We ordered jerk chicken and received over dry smoked chicken!!!! No jerk chicken flavor at all!!!! Macaroni and cabbage was horrible!!! Didn’t get our cornbread with our order. $3 for a styrofoam cup of lemonade which actually was the best part of the meal. Our first and last time going.

This was my 1st and last time ever eating here. The lady was just so rude and dry. I came in and spoke and she just looked at me. Asked about menu items and instead of making them appealing, she was trying to deter me. And to top it all off, the jerk chicken was horrible! It taste like frozen party wings in bbq sauce! Very bad overall experience!

My wife and I got Married in Jamaica a year ago haven't had Jamaican food since. Their Shrimp Tacos were SO GOOD! BbQ smelled and looked amazing. Do recommend.

Yesterday day May 3 2022 i when to this restaurant for 2 orders to give it another try. I tried it years ago and didn't care for it. Came home gave my partner her plate Only to discover that Neither plates had Oxtails. Only bones and hella sauce. Thats nasty btw. So I called them the next day and A young lady stated that she could giive Us a plate and apologize. I requested no Sauce. She was sweet 30 mins later upon return This Rude old dirty looking guy says Oxtail are 25$ Look i paid 30 yesterday and didnt get any Not 1 annnd my plate was heavy with sauce covering bones lol wasn’t paying twice. The food wasnt great it was way too saucy and salty. 30$ and a tip come on . The Old man customer service skills are horrible!! Then he says Well i wasnt here yesterday. Idgaf who and what was there all i know is those bones were and it was insulting to put them on my plate and have me pay for them. Then say we dont have oxtails with no sause. I will never patronize this place because of the Service, horrible food, this isnt a Real Jamaican restaurant btw ihow in the heck 30 mins later no oxtails with no saice. Ditch the nasty sauce. Its not like people beating the door down for fake jerk Sauce lol

Mmmmmm so tasty!!! Our first time, we ordered the curried chicken, rib tips, jerk chicken, and oxtail!! It came with sides of rice, cabbage, corn..and many others. The Jerk chicken was spicy and delicious! Everyone is very friendly too. The price is very good too.

The owner is awesome and actually cares about his customers they have a truck that goes down to kingshighway at page on the solls parking lot in addition to the restaurant on the rock road... the food is really good oxtails are unbelievable they make the best rib tips food is always fresh and cooked daily i definitely recommend this place to anybody especially when you want a change of pace and a different cuisine plus they will cater parties and the patio area is a plus especially in the good weather most definitely 5 stars if i could give more i would!!!

I went there for the 1st time a week ago and I must unfortunately say the over all experience was not pleasant. To begin, the server/cashier/and possibly one of the cooks was not friendly, appeared disheveled and honestly like one who was coming off of a high and in need of a fix. She was slow and seemed disoriented at times and frustrated. Now in her defense it could partially be because she was the only one in the place working. A gentlemen who I assumed was the owner, peeped in the door, saw she was in need of help but didn't bother to step in. There was a minimum of 7 people in the place and I along with my friend were guest number 3 and 4. I would say we waited about 15 minutes to be served and it was not worth the wait, as the food was subpar at best. I know these are strange times and finding help, in general can be very challenging. However this was ridiculous especially since the food was already made and it was just a matter of putting it in containers, cashing one out and moving on.Mr "Mi Hungry" I would highly encourage you sir, to please try and do better and get you some more help, preferably one who can stay coherent while serving, and with good customer service skills.

The best candied yams (sweet potatoes) I've had. The jerk chicken(wet rub) is nice and juicy with a punch, very flavorful. Will def order from here again.

I got a hamburger and it was cooked while I waited. It took 30 minutes to get done because the lady was doing everything but watching it. I had to remind her that it was cooking and she got it off the grill and wrapped it up for me. When I got home it was totally burnt so I called and let her know that I was bringing it back. I arrived and got my money back for the hamburger. I don't know the lady name that cooked for me but it wasn't the Jamaican lady. Also I forgot to take a pic.

After reading all the negative reviews, I took it upon myself to try it any way. I had a pleasant experience, there was a lady at the register and a guy cooking, Im thinking just 2 workers. They have online delivery services as well, so the lady is pretty busy but in my opinion she's handle it. She wasn't mean at all, just trying to get me in and out. Big portion sizes, rip tips were good, bbq sauce is good, Mac n cheese, was ok, not bad tho, I've had woriser yams were good. I don't know no soul food place in STL that is open everyday till 9p, 10ish, mostly close at 6 and they are half the time ain't really open are there always out of stuff, so I really appreciate this restaurant. I work in the area so I will be back. Thanks for being open, and everyone else I wouldnt go by the revie, yall have to just try it yourself, expecially when your looking for sould food/ bbq from us kind of people.
