Dim Sum Chinese Noodles

We ordered food through Uber Eats. But all of it seemed like it came from a bag or the frozen section. The pork buns were worse than the ones we’ve bought in the grocery store. Just very underwhelmed with it, definitely not going back.

It's nice to be able to get dim sum any day of the week, but it's not like getting it from the rolling cart. The Olivette LuLu's will continue to be the milestone by which dim sum is judged in the St. Louis metro. Their lo mein is outstanding off the entree menu.

The fact it was empty should have been the first clue, but since it was 4pm we didn’t think much of it. We ordered, all was well, the food was delivered, it was okay, had just as good or better everywhere else, nothing special for sure. With that said the service was atrocious, never checked back on the table, mother never received a refill on her water, and she had to get up to ask for a to go box. And then when I mentioned the terrible service to what seemed to be the manager, he kicked me out! Only one time to make a first impression, and they failed miserably during service. DO NOT EXPECT TO GET DINE IN SERVICE!

have been going to the lulu’s on olive in university city for several years with good results. had gone to this location several times when it was buffet style which we did not like. we had bought a groupon but apparently made a mistake and specified the rock hill location so we decided to go ahead and use it. was very pleased to see they were no longer a buffet but a traditional menu which looked very much like the location in u city. we got the same stuff we normally get the pork potstickers, sake. i got the seafood hotpotand my wife got the sesame chicken. everything was very good, service was very good as well. prices seemed a little higher than u city but serving sizes seemed larger as well. we did our usual thing with doggie bags and will have another meal with the leftovers. since we live in kirkwood we will be coming back to this location when we have the yen for chinese food. they are still available as a groupon which helps on the price of the meals

Poor service, out of the first dim sum we ordered, then quickly served mediocre food, at best. Finally, we were told the sesame buns that we wanted to order at the end of our meal would take 45 minutes to prepare. Will never go back and wouldn't recommend.

Incredible, you oder an appetizer and it is served. Hot soup, and within 1 minute your entree comes out (my wifes took 5 minutes more). It is hard to understand a professional restauranter is so idiotic, that they don't know serving rule #1. The soup was very salty, and that was the only flavor. Not a hint of stock. The won-tons would have been good, if you had the utensil to cut them. Instead you had to spear it with a fork and eat like a caveman. It was to slippery to cut with the side of the fork. As for my Manchurian Beet, it had no texture and was not cooked to order or probably today. It tasted like they had dumped a ton of meat tenderizer, making the meat mushy. There was no sauce. By the time I could start eating the main course, it was cold. I told the waiter (we never saw the lady who took the order after she took it) that the main was too cold to eat, and he made no comment and did not offer to stick it in the microwave We went to this location because the Olive St. Road location also has bad service and is quite frankly dirty looking. This location sparkled.

I really have to give this restaurant a star because they don't deserve it. I was sent to this restaurant yesterday to pick up an order. When I arrived, the food was not ready so I went to the restroom and a worker from the restaurant came in to restroom as well to work on the stall next to me. As I came out, I noticed there was NO soap dispenser and NO soap or hand sanitizer on the sink. I asked the worker when she came out of the other stall about soap and she replied, "we out, just use water". Now she was working on the toilet and she ran water on her hands and I watched her walk out and go back into the kitchen to prepare food. This is gross and unsanitary!!!! This is also against sanitation policies for restaurants. I would recommend anyone eating or ordering food here!!!! Employees are working on toilets AND using the restrooms here and they are not using soap to properly sanitize their hands AND they are making your food! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I will try to notify the health inspection authorities because this could get innocent people sick.

We think this continues to be a very good place for the food and the fact that selections are different from the typical Americanized Chinese restaurant (although not completely authentic as is available at a few spots in town). The dim sum variety and the fact that it is available all day continues to be a main draw for us - although we have not been disappointed by any of the entree selections. (Note: some time ago they changed from the buffet format used when they first opened to now strictly a la cart from the menu). On our most recent visit the standouts were Dan Dan noodles and Peking duck (which we ordered as a 'half' order and without having to give any advance notice). BUT: the service, which has never been outstanding, does definitely need an upgrade. They seem to be skimping on staff, so on a fairly busy evening they still had only 2 people working the dining room (who I think are part of the ownership family) and that led to less than attentive service. They also like to take your order from memory, which is fine when they get it right, but didn't on this occasion (forgot one of the items ordered). And I suspect the kitchen staff is being held to a minimum as well, as our food came out in a 'staggered' fashion that was not in keeping with a top notch restaurant experience. So, we still love the food, but are worried now that service problems will end up killing the place.

I live close and have ordered from here twice. (1st time shame on you...) The first time I Ordered take-out here I had to wait about 45 minutes for an order of fried rice, broccoli and beef, and beef lo mein. It was like sitting at the DMV waiting to be called up. Horrible experience! No 'I'm sorry, or let me try to compensate you'. The employees/owners are very rude. A little advice...Greet your patrons! They are the ones keeping you open! Yesterday was the second time. I wanted to give them a chance. I ordered beef fried rice, chicken lo mein and it was terrible. The fried rice didnt seemed like it was mixed with very little soy sauce. The rice was still white!! Come on Man!! This place sucks! If you want any decent asian cuisine go somewhere else. Do not waste your hard earned money on this place.

First when a person walks in the door, you don't just look at them. Then you don't ask a potential customer, what can I do for you. I'm not coming to the restaurant to look at you, I'm coming to eat. The attitude is enough to keep me from patronizing again. I would have been willing to come back and try a different meal. I had the spicy wontons, which were room temperature. They should have been hot seeing that it was on two customers in the place. The scallions pancakes were good not great, but if I had gotten some type of meat to go with it. They would have been tastier.
