Best fast food salad you'll find anywhere: butchery block salad. I actually don't know how they even make any money off this thing. So much meat, great mix and hefty weight. It's a full meal for a really good price. I always get this when I don't want something to heavy for much or dinner. And it goes without saying that this place's Customer service is consistently friendly to the point that I'm impressed every time I receive this level of friendliness and appreciation at a fast food drive thru. They've got me hooked on their menu. I'm a committed regular, 2 - 3 visits a week without fail.
One star only for the food. The staff was incredibly rude both when ordering and when paying/receiving food. Received the wrong drink, no straws to go with the drinks, and one of three sandwiches was missing entirely from the bag. After approaching the window to correct the mistakes, the staff continued to treat us poorly and we were overall very disappointed with this location of Lion’s Choice.
Love the Italian beef! Clean dining room. Pleasant workers. Good location.
Best fast food roast beef by far! A great meal if you're in a hurry in the St. Louis area.
It was an okay meal. My husband and I were given plenty of hot freshly cooked fries, but our double order of roast beef was not the least bit warm. I noticed the container holding the au jour juice appeared to desperately need cleaning. My husband said he was not impressed. We probably will not eat there again for at least 10 years.
Lion's Choice has quality meat for their sandwiches. They have about 5 types of sauces (my fave is "Chipotle ranch") and their own blend for seasoning the fries. This is my 3nd time there and now it's time to become a rewards member! SO GOOD!
This place isn't only bad, it's dangerous. I ordered a regular roast beef and the sandwich I got was cold with red meat. I had pulled away from the window and went back to tell them it was bad. They asked if I wanted it well done and I said yes. The new sandwich had brown meat on the outside but when I opened the bun it was still cold and red in the middle, with something red on the bun today looked like blood. I ended up throwing it away uneaten. The "chocolate" shake was a vanilla shake with a little chocolate syrup on top. Hopefully it was safe to consume but it wasn't good. I will never go back and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.
I'm surprised this place is so popular. St Louis has some seriously good food, but I found Lion's Choice to be mediocre at best. No better than Arby's, which I've long suspected of selling horse meat. I'd recommend finding a different spot for roast beef.
The cones for the minis have gotten shorter (pictured). It looks cute and tasted delicious, but was awkward when it was handed from the person at the drive through window to me, because there isn't much to hold, and the ice cream was sort of overflowing. Otherwise the roast beef sandwich and fries were the same and tasted great. Service was quick, efficient and the employees were courteous. My grandma noted they offer a senior discount, as long as the senior is the person placing the order.Who knew I had so much to say about Lion's Choice ?♀️
Dropped in for lunch. Miss Lion’s Choice. Best roast beef sandwiches around. Got the regular roast beef sandwich with Swiss cheese. Also a side of fries. Make sure you put the horseradish sauce on the sandwich. For dessert, got the mini custard cone for $.25. Great customer service.
