Great bagel sandwiches and coffee at a reasonable price!
I have ordered online 2-3 times so far and each time my order is ready when I arrive and very delicious. The lattes, bagels and pastries are very good. There is seating inside and outside and I really enjoyed reading a few pages of my book surrounded by flowers and buzzing bees. They are situated in a beautiful historic neighborhood with classic, giant brick homes and each one is special and different, some date back to the 1800s — so you could just as easily take your coffee to go and do a little wandering. I think there are more special things about this cafe that I don’t know enough about to comment on — honey, chickens — so look into their website and check out the other more knowledgeable reviews. Even without the added background, this is a lovely local neighborhood place to grab a cup of coffee!
Kitchen House Coffee is one of those wonderful places you can go with your friends or family who have various food restrictions. They have meat, vegetarian, vegan, some gluten-free, and alternative milk options to satisfy most palates. The staff are always so kind, and the owners are two amazing people who have an urban farm, Kitchen House Farm, where they grow local produce, keep hens (they even adopted a couple from the chicken non-profit I work with!), and they also keep bees and use their honey in some of the items on the menu! If you have a chance read their story on their “About” page on their website.Did I mention they have chickens you can say hello to out back behind the restaurant? Well, they do! And you should definitely say hello. My favorite food staple here is the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich on their house-made (yes, HOUSE-MADE) everything bagel. It’s so savory, the bagel is soft and flavorful, and the yolk from the egg bursts into a glorious mess serving as nature’s gravy all over the bagel. And it’s only $8. Such a deal!My dog’s favorite is the side of bacon, which she can eat while we’re dining on the front patio together. Yes, they’re dog-friendly too!Kitchen House’s Honey Harvest Latte is another staple I order, and it’s made with honey from their farm! It’s a perfect morning pick-me-up drink. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu from their salads, soups, pastries, or smoothies. They’re all delicious! If you still feel unsafe about eating indoors due to Covid, Kitchen House has an outdoor patio out front and they also still offer friendly curbside service.Their service is top-notch, and any time I have had an error on my order, they are always quick to find a solution.Basically, Kitchen House is the best, and you should definitely give them a try!
good spot for coffee and snacks. friendly.
This place is one of my favorites in St. Louis. The coffee is great, the food is great, and the service is even better. I’m so happy TGE has Kitchen House Coffee.
I just love that this place is a lovely walk from my house.
Very lucky to have this place 2 minutes from the house. Great coffee. Fantastic breakfast bagels and friendly staff.
I live in Tower Grove and come here very often. I like the folks who work here. I always have a positive experience, and usually order the drip coffee, which is very good. But today I ordered the pour over, which is why I'm writing this review. This pour over is excellent. I can't believe I've never ordered it before, it feels like its curing my ails, it's so good. All hail the pour over. Amen.
Super chill place. Kitchen dude is a genius. Everything is yummy.
