I use to go here when he was at Union and highway 70, then he moved down union by St.Louis Ave. So i went yesterday, about my 5th time eating here and i was so mad and disappointed. The ribs were good but the chicken wings were too BIG, i mean they look like ostrich wings. I've never had bad food here but yesterday was such a disappointment. I went up to place my order and the man taking orders was not friendly like the owner usually is. I see now i will not go back, the service and food is not what it use to be.
Love this place. The rib tip and snoot combo is always good with the potato salad. The meat and snoot are always tender.The only bbq place I will go to in the Lou. My food is always hot and fresh when I pick up my order. You have to try for yourself. Big portions for the price. It's worth $20 for the rib tip and snoot combo. I can never finish my combo plate at one time. It's enough for 2 people to eat off 1 plate. They will always have my business
I can say that I was very pleased. The food was abounded and tasty. The wait was long but worth it to me. I can see where other people might complain about the wait, but look at the meal.
The first time they messed up the order they said it was out fault. The second we asked for bbq sauce on the side it was delivered with sauce on it. This time we waited no bbq sauce on the side very poor customer service over priced.
The food was good, the service not so good. Ordered online and was called after I placed the order to inform me that there will be an extra $1.00 charge for putting the potato salad in a separate container... lol. I laugh because the person was condescending when I asked why, but I didn't feel like debating it... just wish there was an option to take back the 15% tip I gave when I placed the order... sounds petty... but so does charging to separate an item that I'm sure that cost is already built in.
After hearing about raising place I decided to give it a try. Purchased two of the same meals. One was really good, the other not so much. Can't explain how that can happen but will give it another try. Service was good, price was fair.
If I could give a negative amount of stars I would. I ordered a hot link (which was $8, that should've been the first ?) and a wing combo. The first hot link was dried out and/or severely overcooked. I took it back and he gave me a bratwurst (which was not what I asked for). The chicken was cold and dry. My partner ordered rib tips which were lukewarm, dry and tough. The meat wasnt fresh at all. The customer service is poor. Would not recommend at all. I'm truly Disgusted. Smh.Not to mention, overpriced !
I went there today, it was stellar. The snoots were the best I've had in life.
Look those Snoots crisp just right. Food is not salty. Salt is African American cripton night.
Very serious BBQ. The snoots & rib tips are first rate.
