I was expecting greatness, but was totally disappointed. Good concept but lacking in flavor and way too much sauce. Not worth the price you pay for a taco.
I love Kalbi Taco Shack so much that I almost always find myself ordering from there whenever I'm at the City Foundry. I really like their take on Asian fusion food and they've done an exception job with the marinades they use for their various meat fillings. My go to is their tofu burrito.

As someone who can be very picky, because I wasn’t raised on a very diverse food palate, I’m always nervous to try new things.Kalbi Taco Shack blew me away. I loved loved loved the teriyaki rice bowl. Definitely will be returning.
Everything is just So sweet. Got the quesadilla, and it's drenched in some sort of sweet butter that you can't really scrape off. The protein is sweet.. the sauces are sweet. For $15, I'd expect a far higher quality 'dilla. Couldn't finish half of it, the sweetness was just overpowering.
Some of the worst food that I've ever had. I had to wait 20 minutes for two tacos! I was their only order at the time....I was sure that the food would be worth the wait and then was served three tacos that were not the ones that I ordered and then learned that I was charged for three and not the two that I ordered. The food was absolutely disgusting and despite paying $25 for a couple of tacos, chips and salsa, and a drink, I couldn't finish any of it
I had the beef tacos and Buffalo chicken tacos. The meat wad flavorful, however the beef was tough and the presentation could use some more flare
I lived in St. Louis for about 5 years. When I left, the hardest goodbye to make was to this restaurant. The owners are incredibly kind, they make incredible food with huge flavor, and have an awesome menu with many different options! The burrito is my favorite item on the menu.
The premium short rib tacos are to die for!! I could have drank the sauce it was so good!!
Kalbi Taco Shack is one of my favorite gems in the city! The staff is always so kind, and the food is consistently flavorful and delicious. Craving the sweet and spicy chicken burrito right now but you’re closed :,) #TeamKabi
