Hotel is past it's prime. Many rooms were shabby. Toilet didn't flush well, had to call twice for service. Limited meal choices and food was not very good. Too few elevators and the escalators weren't working. I would NOT return.
Clean room, good overall experience; prime location next to the Arch. I would not hesitate to book a hotel room again. The hotel set up for breakfast and then lunch on the 2nd floor was good value for the price and good quality. It's not their fault that the escalator broke and they were awaiting parts, but it was an inconvenience to have a full hotel waiting on only a few elevators.
Hotel had a lot of guest rooms but only two restaurants. Bar on first floor was closed and restaurants were only open limited hours and the brew pub had a limited menu. Staff was very pleasant and facility was very clean. Banquest service for 1000 people was very good.
The hotel is nearly on top of the arch and close to the ball park. The only negative is that few places within hotel to get reasonably priced food and many restaurants around the hotel are not open for dinner (covid related I expect).
Perfect spot to visit the Arch and a short walk to the baseball stadium. Rooms very clean. My view of the Arch was great. Ruth Cris was a nice addition for a restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I had seven days at the Hyatt in a room with a view I didn't want to leave. We overlooked the park, the arch and the river. The Brewhouse food was reasonable $, for downtown, and quite good. Plenty to share unless you are a big eater. The banquet meals were extremely salty and spicy. Our last meal was very overcooked - which does not matter unless you are in a group banquet situation.
Our experience during a recent overnight stay was good. We loved the view over the city, the large window sills (big enough to sit in) & the spacious living area. (The extra fee for a higher floor with a better view was totally worth it). The layout of the rooms, bathroom & closet allowed for efficient storage, comfort and even provided places to eat in the room. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful from the parking garage to the eateries to the front desk. We were able to walk to the Old Spaghetti Warehouse for lunch, Gateway Arch, the Riverboat ride and the downtown park. There were security features put in place in the parking garage, elevators & room which helped me feel safe. It was a great experience overall, & I would choose to stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.
Checked into the room, went to use the bathroom only to find toilet paper still in the bowl and a smeared poop stain on the top of the bowl. Flushed to clear the TP only for the toilet to regurgitate someone’s “movement.” Immediately called the front desk and the response was swift so i’ll give them that credit. Was disappointed to not receive a single apology or compensation. Won’t be going back.
We had a terrible check-in experience, not friendly at all. Then they were still charging a resort fee even though pool was drained and had obviously been that way for quite some time without any notice. Lobby restrooms were filthy, sofas in lobby were coming apart, and then to cap it all off another guest staying in the room next to us walked in our room because his keys also worked on our room. They offered us a discount but by that point our stay was ruined.
Great location for Cardinals ballgame. Parking is an issue as in most downtown hotels. Valet was the only option and is quiet unnerving experience. Hotel is showing its age, in my last two stays we had air conditioning and plumbing issues.
