Looking for a spot to grab lunch while in the area on business. Open only for breakfast and lunch, I arrived shortly before closing. The counter person was very friendly asking if the meal was for there are to go (not being rushed was appreciated).I ordered the double Philly Cheesesteak and onion rings. They serve the sandwich with a side of aus juice and the hot sauce I requested. Great sandwich and flavor.One gentleman came in solely to get two sides of his favorite salad dressing; the owner charged $1 and a smile. I liked the pictures on the wall of family events and multiple framed certificates honoring contributions from Iraqi Freedom and other military operations. As illustrated by the sign out front thanking law enforcement, this is a business owner with a sense of patriotism and community which I appreciate. If you are in the area outside St Louis, this place is worth a stop.
And they make a darn good deli sandwich. My wife & I recently moved to Maryland Heights, and we were looking for a unique lunch spot nearby. When we drove up to Scotti's in the industrial park, it was hard to tell if they were still in business. I had to park on the lot just to the south of their shared building & try the door. Lucky for us, they were open & ready to take our order. The interior dining & carry-out space is simple, with maybe a half-dozen small booths & tables and the ordering counter with a soft drink dispenser almost behind it.The very friendly Mary took our order, and brought some very generous made-to-order sandwiches to our table. Their clientele seem predominantly phone-in & carry-out customers, so our sandwiches were prepared in the order received. My wife actually liked my chicken salad on croissant better than I did, while I preferred her Scotti's Sub on a fresh hoagie roll. With 2 bags of chips & 2 soft drinks our total was just over $20, which we agreed for the volume & the quality was a competitive price. We splurged afterwards with a piece of gooey butter cake & three double-chocolate chip cookies, all fresh & very flavorful. We will definitely return to Scotti's for good & friendly service and deliciously simple food.
Love this place, we have been to a lot of concerts there or just stop in. We love the people and the staff!! A wonderful place for us for a night on the town and the band will never disappoint you!!
