Read reviews about roaches everywhere, cold food, bad service. All false. All lies. This place is awesome. And they have so much more than just seafood. All hot, all good, everyone nice. Sesame chicken actually tastes right. 8 bucks for lunch buffet is damn good in this day and age.
Went Sunday, food was fresh , service was fast and friendly. My noodles were delicious forgot how good this place was pre-covid.
Most of the food has a very generic taste, doesn't taste as good as of you just go get Chinese takeout somewhere. Their desserts are good. Sushi is trash. The worst part tho, I saw their employee pick up food (it was a tray of a cooked crab dish) off the floor when it fell and put it back into the tray that they serve in the buffet. That's disgusting. Their restroom doors are wide open for some reason and when you go past it you can literally see inside where people are doing their business. My whole family got stomach acheslater on in the day and I'm sure it's from this place.
Overall, very good Asian buffet. The decor is almost opulent! The server Yuki was nearly invisible... Until we needed her. Plates never stacked up, drinks were always full. The food at the buffet was hit or miss as to whether or not it was warm. But it was still tasty! They have a Mongolian-style hot bar too; I didn't try it though. My wife said, "I think I'm gonna walk out of here 10 lbs heavier", and my daughter said "my stomach is gonna hurt, but it was worth it." I'll be back, for sure.
My mom loved a really good buffet but mostly in her local area. I introduced her to this Hokkaido Seafood Buffet and Grill and it quickly became her top choice. We would drive 45mins from home or 30 mins from her treatments. When she was dealing with the chemo this was the place that would bring her appetite back and we would come whenever she felt the craving. I haven't been back since she and I came in to celebrate her birthday in the spring of 2020(she passed away later that winter). I came in tonight with 2 of my dearests. Amy was the server that had our booth and she was so sweet and attentive even though she was really tired. She made my night!! I was a little sad to be there without my mom but the the tastes, atmosphere, and Amy's sincerity brought back the best memories. Thank you all! Keep up the great work!
Haven't been in about 6 months and now I know why. $10 for lunch and not worth it. Dishes were full but had been sitting there for a while. Chicken was tough. This used to be a fily favorite for lunch and sushi. Will not be going back.
Fresh food. Everything is delicious. It's always a little warm in there. But the food is really good. We go there often! Staff is attentive and nice.
Top Chinese Buffet in the St. Louis area. Very clean, lots of choices, competitive pricing, and good service. They always had refills ready, and there was no shortage of high-demand items such as crabs, scallops, crawfish, and salmons. There were both maki and nigiri sushi. There’s a hibachi station too. The dessert selection is pretty good, too (no ice cream). We went for the dinner buffet, which starts from 3:40 PM (according to the lady at the reception).
The food is decent and they refresh often. But I brought it to a Hispanic worker’s attention that someone had accidentally dropped plastic cups into the red sauce for the crab rangoon, and he simply scooped them out and kept restocking foods. I explained to him that it needed to be dumped out and refilled with fresh sauce due to contamination, but he ignored me. I know he speaks English because he’d have to in order to communicate with the Asian management/owners. I then went to inform the Asian manager who stated she would have them do it, but in the hour and a half my party was there, no one touched the pot of sauce. Disgusting.
Be careful when you gonna eat at this place. Food tastes disgusting. 3 years ago it was cool place with good food. Now, even restrooms are not clean and dirty toilet paper everywhere. One kid even threw up in front of me. They brought me a greasy check. Don’t waste your money here.
