Needless to say…the best fried chicken in town. Fresh, hot, and delicious. Service was great! They have this thing down to a science. The French fries are the bomb! Best I’ve ever had. Definitely eat here if you can make the time.
Great atmosphere and great service! Really good food. Had the 1/2 fried chicken one night & the chicken fried steak the next day; would recommend both.
Hodak’s was recommended by one of friends because I was craving chicken and it did not disappoint. The chicken is cooked fresh and the the breading is unique and delicious.If you are craving a good friend chicken this is the place to be. Additionally the portions are large and will definitely fill you up so come extra hungry.
When my husband told me about this place I envision amazing fried chicken, you know chicken with the skin fried.... That is not what they serve.All of the chicken is skinless. Major disappointment for me. I will say that the breading on the skinless chicken was crunchy but it just isn't the same.The chicken was juicy. But had no flavor.The potatoes were instant potatoes and the baked beans were terrible too.So, if you go. You may want to:1. Not expect skin on the chicken.2. Avoid the potatoes and baked beans.3. Bring some Lawry's!
I went to try this chicken because it came with such good reviews, highly recommended…but I was so terribly disappointed… I don’t eat cornbread and yet the chicken was buttered with a cornmeal mix ? who does that? I wasted 20.00 on a 5 pc wing dinner. My husband loves chicken wings and yet he wouldn’t eat them either, he said thwy were awful and had no taste they were just horrible. I will not return nor refer anyone…

Have been coming to this place since I was a little kid. Their fried chicken has always been good and still has the same taste till this day! The prices have definitely risen but you still get the same big portions. The service can be slow at times because it gets busy. We waited 20mins just to get a menu. Our server was nice but not very attentive. They have a bar you can sit at and bigger section in the back with more tables and booths. Plenty of parking, have their own free lot.
This fried chicken is worth it. Come hungry because you will get a huge plate of food! It's a cornmeal-based breading that has a different texture than I expected, but I actually really enjoyed it. The coleslaw was dang tasty, very tangy and a bit sweet. I only slightly regret stuffing myself a little too much.
Here's the deal! The food was absolutely amazing. It was fresh it was hot and it tasted absolutely good. The waitress was fabulous. The decor was breathtaking. The atmosphere was breathing family. Here is the Fantastic thing you can step away from the table and go to the bar and have a beer on tap. No worries, it's nothing but a friendly atmosphere. The food was very appetizing to the eye and to the taste buds. The presentation of the food and how the food was presented was five star.So, if you want to have an awesome experience in dining you have to go to Hodak's. St. Louis Missouri.
