American Hot Dogs Food Trucks

My Sweetheart Asriel and I were in the area on New Year's Eve. We wanted to grab a quick bite. My Sweetheart works at a local hospital and Steve's catered their lunch. It was my first time at Steve's. We enjoyed the food and conversation with the owner. I learned the history of how Steve's came to be! The atmosphere was very inviting and friendly! We definitely will be visiting again! Thank you!

Grab a hot dog and a beer from next door!! Fun atmosphere and wonderful food!! A must visit when in St. Louis!!

I never thought of St. Louis as a hot dog town, not like Chicago is a hot dog town, with hot dog joints on nearly every corner. But my wife and I discovered Steve's Hot Dogs and Burgers while touring the Hill neighborhood during our visit of St. Louis and we were wildly impressed. Yes, Virginia, they do make great hot dogs in St. Louis. Located at 2131 Marconi Avenue on the Hill, opened in 2011, and at 3457 Magnolia Avenue in the Tower Grove East neighborhood, opened in 2014, Steve's offers a lot to like when it comes to hot dogs and hamburgers. We sampled Steve's famous chili-cheese dog with a quarter-pound grilled New York Nathan's hot dog smothered in chili, cheese and fresh onion; the St. Louis-Chicago dog, a St. Louis-style grilled hot dog dressed with the Chicago condiments we are accustomed to--mustard, relish, onion, pickle and tomato; the Back Yard BBQ dog, a smoked hot dog smothered in tangy baked beans, bacon, BBQ sauce and fresh potato salad; and the purest hot dog of all, the Madeline, the famous New York Nathan's hot dog with nothing but mustard. With a bowl of gumbo straight out of a Louisiana bayou. No doubt, Steve's has found a niche in St. Louis.

You can never go wrong going to Steve’s. It’s one of the best most under rated places in St. Louis! Everything is spot on and perfectly done.

Had the Backyard BBQ dog. It was excellent! Large menu, quite a variety of hot dogs, burgers, and mac n cheese dishes.

Stopped in here with my friend who lives on The Hill, and she'd never been here. Had the Silver Back Gorilla Mac-n-Cheese. To die for. It was so much goodness in a bowl. Cheese, pasta, bacon. My friend is vegan, and she had plenty of options as well. The guys were great, really friendly and chatted with us while they were making our food. I thought the prices were good and the ingredients were high quality. I am looking forward to going back the next time I'm there.

I found Steve's online and decided to go on a whim - so glad I did! The hot dogs are creative, delicious and wallet-friendly. Definitely try something with their creamy Mac and Cheese on top.

My wife and I went here for a lunch. She doesnt like hot dogs, but she liked tgheir bratwurst. They have several different mac-n-cheeses, burgers, and good, helpful service....and may kinds of hot dogs, of course. Overall, this is a nice spot for lunch. Good foid. Good atmosphere. Good service. There's another near Tower Grove.

Small place on The Hill that sells mainly hot dogs. They also have hamburgers and mac & cheese. A group of 8 of us went there for lunch. Everybody got something different off the menu and everybody was satisfied with their selection. Just a few things to keep in mind: * Their hot dog buns and not soft, they are more firm. Most of the people in my group who got hot dogs liked the firmer buns. I'm more of a soft bun person. * This is a very small restaurant with about 8 tables inside and 4 tables outside. They have one high chair and of booster seat. So if you have multiple children in the group, be aware there's not many seating options for little ones. * If you're a picky eater, they do have a plain hot dog or a plain hamburger so you don't have to worry about all the different toppings. If you're more adventuresome, they have lots of different ways they make the hot dogs. I had the bacon bacon Jamaican which was a bit spicy but very good. * They don't sell French fries. They have bags of chips, bottled and canned soda, and bottled water. * There are NO public restrooms!!

small hole in the wall eatery but they do amazing things with hotdogs. My favorite is something called backyard BBQ
