uncontroversial opinion: Felixs Dogtown has the BEST TRIVIA IN SAINT LOUIS!!!! Great pizza, great brews, amazing people!
Been here before on the weekend and the service was fine but we went on a Wednesday at 8pm for a few quick slices and a salad when we were starving. We sat outside and had to order at the bar, which was okay but they kept us waiting for an hour+ for our food and they failed to bring the salad out earlier when it was done much sooner than the pizza. They were not that busy and all ready cleaning the kitchen before we even got our pizza. Terrible service. The slices are 10 bucks too, definitely regret our decision to go. If you do try to go for a quick slice definitely ask which ones they have made that are already ready! They’ve lost us as customers
Ordered Carryout tonight and was excited to try ‘the best New York Style pizza’ in St. Louis. We did a deluxe and a hi-pointe. The toppings were relatively generous and the sauce was perfectly mild. It was sweet but not overly sweet. Now the crust, which in my opinion is the most important part of any pizza, was …a huge let down. The edge was not thick and chewy like a New York Pizza and was very flat besides one piece. It also did not have any flavor. I mean, like ZERO flavor. I am glad we finally tried the pizza ? but nothing to write home about. Easy dinner and we are close to the location but we have other favorites.
I'm very picky about pizza & tend to think most places are mediocre but Felix's pizza is made in house daily & never fails to exceed my expectations. Their single slices are HUGE, and their vegetarian options are super delicious. For any other ranch freaks out there - they've got the good stuff. Trivia on Tuesdays is always a blast thanks to Izzi and Carmen!
So here’s my quicky review. Needed a snack for lunch and gave Felixs Dogtown a try since they sell single slices. Got sausage and onion, nice amount of both and the onions were fresh and crisp even after the bake which is nice. Crust had a nice crunch, without being dry or hard. Sauce had good flavor and balanced toward the sweet side but not overwhelming. Service was quick, very pleasant and though I ordered to go the dining area was clean and comfortable. Definitely will be back.
One of St. Louis’ best pizzerias. Now open for lunch – I got the $11 specialty slice and salad combo. Trivia night is always fun as well. Highly recommended!
The pizza is great. Definitely my favorite in St Louis. I was happy when I first ate there, because I'm not a fan of St Louis style pizza or provel cheese. This was exactly what I wanted.
Got pizza by the slice and either the dough/crust is really chewy and thin, or the slices were under the heat lamp too long. The toppings were tasty and the house wheat beer was good, but I can't recommend the pizza - at least by the slice - based on my experience.
Place was clean, service was good and wait for food wasn't bad. Pizza was a 7. Overall nothing special stood out. Always happens to me but they were out of the craft beer I ordered.
I love food, but pizza I live for. This place is amazing. I understand the wait for the table and wait for the food, because of the short staffing. Bit everything was amazing, we had a appetizer (loaded fries), needed more cheese sauce. We also had a salad, and we also had 2 special slices and a large pizza and my daughter who only eats cheesepizzaorder a kid slice. The 2 slices were special pizza by the slice, would of like to be told they were $10 a slice but well worth it. For a family of 4, the price was expensive for everything but the food made up for the cost. Again short staffed so the waitress was not on top of refills. But she was definitely their for our bill.
