Great food and service. Traditional fine Italian restaurant Refined but not stuffy. Hadnât bee for several years due to move but still great
A quintessentially excellent restaurant. Service was impeccable and food was of the highest quality and totally delicious. I absolutely love this place!
Great experience. Not many restaurants like this left.
The owner greeted and seated us. The service was exceptional and food was absolutely delicious. This experience was fine dining with extraordinary ease and comfort. It was difficult to make a decision between lobster and tenderloin so I was brought a beautiful plate of both! And the dessert... beautiful, decadent and delicious. The owner himself sang a beautiful song for a birthday lady. So sweet and precious. We will definitely return soon.
Terrific experience! The place is so authentic which I can say because I am from Italy. I get very frustrated with quasi-Italian endeavors. This is the real thing. The ambiance is understated and elegant. The service is impeccable and knowledgeable. The menu is pretty traditional- no surprises but also not terribly imaginative. But itâs always better to do what you know how to do! We ordered calamari: the breading was perfect but somehow the calamari were thin and a bit chewy. Then we had a clam linguini that was to die for. It came al dente and HOT! Amazing. I ordered the veal chop, beautifully done, butter soft and delicious. My date ordered the veal piccata which again, was done to perfection! Nice bottle of Italian red and limoncello for dessert. Not a cheap meal but 100% worth it. Mr. Dominic came by the table a couple of times enough for me to fall in love with him! How shall I say it? FAVOLOSO! This will become a regular for us!
Dress code was not enforced. We were seated next to a table of 6 that was very loud, most likely drunk. One of the women at that table got into a very uncomfortable public argument with the gentlemen servicing their table claiming they never got their appetizers. Our food was not worth the price at all, and they charged us for a glass of wine, when we had a beer, so the bill was messed up.
Dominic"s on the Hill is a true treasure for the city. It has been at this location since the 1950's with the same owner, Dominic himself. The environment is elegant and yet completely relaxed by the outstanding service and personal attention each diner receives from the exceptional staff. The food is extensive in choice and delicious in taste. Each dish is expertly prepared and brought to the table on beautiful china. There is a patio for more relaxed dining. When you have guests from out-of-town take them to this very special award winning restaurant.
One of our go-to places for a quiet, non-rushed dinner. Always great service and food.
For any special night out with your bestie Dominic's cannot be beat. Our go to place for a great dinner anytime we yearn for authentic Italian......on the way to the theatre, birthdays, anniversaries. Always a delight when Dominic himself stops by your table just to chat. My husband swears the best tortellini anywhere in town. Soon to have an outdoor patio with tapas type menu.
always love dining on the Hill when in town. Dominic's is amazing. Wonderful, romantic spot. Truly amazing experience in every way. And for the man himself to serenade the wife on the way out- can't wait to see you all again!
