We didn't stay. Interesting building but couldn't go in only outside bar area was open with loud bad music. Very disappointing.
This place is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The staff are so friendly and just amazing at what they do. My Family and Friends love this place
Had a great experience at the Adult Easter Egg Hunt. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing
Great band, good, staff and drinks. Will be coming back for sure.
My Dad and I visited Das Bevo off of a 25 year old "yeah I remember Grumman pilots talking about the place" sort of impetus. The place is very pretty and has a more homely atmosphere than most German restaurants. (Though the history behind the place is confusing. As I understand the Busch family had a member go to Holland and decided to make the retreat a German restaurant in a dutch style? A little confusing but I can't knock the restaurant for a decision made 100 years ago) I could imagine the atmosphere to be better with more people, but we were there in the dead of winter so there was maybe 25 people in the hall. The music choice is interesting... Modern pop and funk instead of the typical German music, but even Google says the area is a "former" German neighborhood. Additionally, although I'm not a drinker the beer selection was pitiful for a German place. One beer that was actually German. The food though, was excellent. Unfortunately, when we first got it, it was cold. The owner was more than happy to fix this and the second round of food was amazing. We got the schnitzel and the sauerbraten. The addition of weirdly out of place American dishes seem to be holding the place back, as well as the lackluster beer selection and awkward order at the bar system. Holding onto your debit card as collateral is questionable as well, but the staff are very friendly and were happy to fix our issue . all in all it was a good experience with really good food at a reasonable price. I imagine if the experience was tweaked a little the average review would be higher, but for now I think a 4/5 is fair.
Great atmosphere, got to tour the windmill with our 2 yr old granddaughter and she loved it. Food was excellent!!! Keep doing what you're doing.
Amazing history and stunning architecture in a old beer hall. Sausage supper platter comes with a free beer when in special for $18. Spicy sausage was great, beer cheese is memorable. Ambiance is a 10, staff was friendly and helpful. Fried Sauerkraut balls sounded like a bad idea but ended up being my favorite thing of the night. Gave it a 4 out of 5 due to the pricing, it seems just a tad high but then again it feels good supporting a local institution.
Good brunch. I am only disappointed as my memories of this place in the past was much more grand. Loved the live music. Wish they had table service instead of having to go to the bar and order.
Where do I start, Das Bevo was nothing but nice, orderly, and supportive of us as clients! We chose them in the beginning since they accommodate small and medium weddings (we wanted about 50 guests) and their space includes a ceremony room, a separate reception area, and tons of extra space and rooms to get ready in and take pictures in. For a wedding in February, it was wonderful to stay out of the cold all day.We also chose Bevo for the fantastic architecture and details, along with the building's history. Truly one of a kind. We are so glad we stuck with them because of how they run the place. We had plenty of meetings close to the big day that really made us feel secure in our wedding day choices and timeline. We had signature cocktails to go along with our open bar. And everyone on the day of the wedding never hesitated to ask me how I was doing, if I needed anything, and just overall treated me like a princess.Thank you for making my day the wedding of my dreams, Bevo. I worked with Cassidy mostly and she felt like a big sister through it all. I got married in the Mill room and reception in the Underground. I have only fond memories and good things to say. so happy I chose Das Bevo!
Great wedding venue. If you plan on marrying in the windmill be advised the steps are rigorous and difficult for those not in shape. There is no elevator to the top either. But the view and ambiance is worth the climb.
