Wow. The food was amazing! The service was great. There was a little bit of a wait for the food but it was WELL worth it! Everything was fresh, seasoned, and fried to perfection! The picture came after we dug it! We couldn't help ourselves! Try it ASAP!Fried fish, shrimp and chicken wings!

Wow this place is amazing! So we got into town on a Saturday and did not have a reservation but they were not busy, it was around 5pm. There were two servers, a cook in the back and I really think there was only three people working because we waiting about 45 minutes until our food came out and that was just the appetizer, but the main course came out shortly after. We ordered the creole crab cakes for appetizers, the Gumbo and the creole catfish. All of it was delicious! The crab cakes were hot and fresh with their creole sauce over it that became more and more spicy as you ate it. That same sauce came on the catfish. The catfish was perfectly cooked over a bed of rice and so so hot and delicious! And the gumbo was amazing! Creamy, also spicy and just such a balance of all the meats.. definitely recommended this place to anyone who loves creole food! Also the Devore was absolutely beautiful and have a feeling of elegance and class, it just made you feel good to be there!

Our first experience here was unplanned as we happened to be in the area and it was great!. The space is beautiful and so is the food. It smelled so good I forgot to take the obligatory photo first! Thank You Chef Ronda and staff for a lovely late dinner!

I love catfish, but have never have had any that could compare to what I had here! Ordered the Creole catfish & shrimp w/ rice and just have to say; whoever came up with the combination of ingredients in that meal is a master! The flavor was rich and deep, almost a transcendental experience! I know it sounds a little over the top, but it really was that good!! My GF had the Creole grilled salmon, and agreed it was the best meal we had during our weekend in St Louis! The dining room was open and felt spacious, with colors, decor, and music that were a perfect compliment to the welcoming vibe we felt as we walked in. Wish I could remember the name of our waiter...he was working on 4/9/22, and we'll never forget his smile! Wish there were more young guys so pleasant to talk to like him! Hey management... he's a keeper! ?? I can't really think of anything negative to say; there was a bit of a wait on the food, but not any more than you would expect from any fine food establishment. I would very highly recommend checking out this place; I think the name describes it perfectly...they have a good thing going on here!

We celebrated a birthday here and was quite dissatisfied. The server was pleasant but overwhelmed as he had too many tables. The appetizers were over fried and and over seasoned. We placed the order at 6:00 pm. It was super slow in coming out. I received my plate at 8:00 pm in a to go container. The food was not good and service was poor. Very disappointing!

Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. My husband and I decided to check out the place and both agreed that this is some of the best food we’ve had in the past 3 months. The food is very flavorful and has just the right amount of spice. Great service as well! We will be back.

This is the worst place on earth to eat. They bring out one plate at time. They have strange ppl coming up from the basement. You don't if they work there or doing other things. Many Patriots where work out cuz of the service. And last this is bad example of black own.

We did not dine in - got carry-out, photos attached. There was a couple waiting when I walked in, and still when I walked out, but I had ordered by phone, and mine only took a few more minutes to be ready. Service was...I'll say "very casual", which did not particularly inspire me, but I had no particular complaints. We got gator tail nuggets as our appetizer. The batter is really crisp, and the meat was tender and lean, though the batter was *so* crisp that many of the smaller "nuggets" were just batter with no meat in them (still tasty, though). I didn't care for the sauce, but my wife loved it. They have enough spice that you'll feel it a little. The beans and rice were well seasoned but not spicy - my finicky 12yo ate them with zero complaint. There was lean shredded pork in them, very nice.My wife got spicy hot wings that were quite good - in her own word, *awesome*. I had one, and can't argue.I got the shrimp étouffée and added crawfish. It was glorious - had almost as much bite as I want in my creole, which is to say it cleared my sinuses and "warmed my heart". It's the half-gone dish with the spoon in the photos, as I went through it pretty fast, before the wife got pics.We also ordered a gumbo. It was good, we ate it all and enjoyed it, but this one was odd to me; it's the photo with the long curls of andouille, and had plentiful shrimp, large pieces of beautiful chicken breast, strips of red pepper... but I expect a big bowl of filé-thick, hearty, stew with a dark roux base and traditionally high vegetable content, with lots of onion and celery and *okra*, with a scoop of rice *in* it. There was no okra that I saw, the soup was not dark or thick as I expected, and it was poured over a really big plate of rice. There was a LOT of rice in most of the dishes. That said, even the rice was good, not overcooked or cheap.Portions were plentiful and we had to finish it the next day. Having overnight to set, the grease made itself evident (honestly, you should expect from this sort of cuisine) but it was still very good, in the way that well-seasoned food gets better when given a few hours to marinate in its own contents. The recipes confused me a bit, but it's clearly fusion, and we will be ordering from there again.

My sister-in-law picked this place for her birthday dinner. It was roughly 20 in the dinner party. Reservations were made in advance. The ambience was beautiful, the layout of the restaurant was inviting and laid back. So the dinner party was set to start at 6:30 p.m., by 7:00 p.m all the party guests was there to enjoy the meal. Our waiter didn't take our order until 8:15 & all of the food didn't come out at the same time which was messed up. Our party knew the food was coming out when the waiter brought out a handful of silverware still wet and placed them on some napkins. The first order that came out was at 8:50 and the last order didn't come until 10:30. The picture with the plated food was supposed to be chicken and beef sausage "St. Louis" style gumbo. My husband was on his way to cancel our food but it came out at 10:30 as we were packing up to leave. I took a picture before I put it in the to go box because we were tired of sitting and waiting on our food. The following day I reheated the food and for the life of me I don't understand how rice can be undercooked and overcooked at the same time, and to make it worse I found a shrimp tail in my food. I told the waiter no shrimp or pork because of my beliefs, however there was shrimp in my food. Thank YAH I don't have a shellfish allergy are I would be in the hospital. There was no point in talking to management because they knew we were waiting to damn long. So much so they gave us complimentary rolls. The chef walked by our table at least twice and nothing was said to us. I wouldn't go back to this restaurant because the menu is very limited. Most of the things on the menu I can't eat. I so support black business, however, when you have your guests wait over an hour before their order is taken, charging $16.66 for five slices of fried green tomatoes, and the rice isn't cooked all the way, and no apologies for poor customer service I'll pass. Now if you like shrimp and creole food and maybe a long wait than go ahead. And I know some restaurants have bad days but to pay $75 for two entrées and an apatitizer is INSANE. No soft drinks or liquor just the food. It's so much stuff I can say but I'll leave at this. I wish nothing but the best for this restaurant and I hope they get it together.

I was a little apprehensive to try this spot because the customer service was a turn off the first time I visited….Didn’t even get to try the food. I decided to still come back and try the food since the plates looked so yummy the first go around and yes customer service was still a big thumbs down. Server had absolutely no personality, never checked on us, and stood or sat at the bar on the phone. I almost didn’t get to try the food again because it took about 45 minutes to get our food and there were only 6 people including us who were dining in, but I’m glad I waited.Food was very flavorful. Catfish was cooked to perfection and the sauce was the right spice. I was thrown off when the “gumbo” came out even though it was described as Stl style cream sauce I still expected it to have more of a gumbo feel. Also, the rice wasn’t consistent. I had a mix of not done, perfectly cooked, and over cooked rice and this didn’t just happen on my plate only. All in all this place has potential a few tweaks and boom 5 stars
