This was my first time at Cracker Barrel so I was pretty excited to try it after hearing all the hype. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with sides of Coleslaw, Mac and Cheese and Hashbrown Casserole. Every single item here was super good. Mary got the Cracker Barrel Sampler: Meatloaf, Chicken n Dumplings and Sugar Cured Ham with sides of Green Beans, Mac and Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. Mom ordered the Southern Fried Chicken with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes. We got a bread basket with biscuits and cornbread. Cracker Barrel has so many choices, our server was super nice, gave us her personal recommendations and was very personable. Pretty much tried all the food we ordered, everything was really good. Like sometimes at restaurants there’s at least 1 thing you don’t really like but that wasn’t the case at Cracker Barrel. Would love to try it for breakfast!
I probably shouldn’t expect too much from Cracker Barrel, but I at least expect for the food I order to be edible. I ordered for delivery through another app, and my scrambled eggs had shells in them. Not just one or two bites, but almost every single bite of my eggs. After 5 bites of expecting no shells, I just stopped eating the eggs altogether. If I had dined in and had this happen at the restaurant, my order would be remade. Unfortunately, because I’m at work, there’s nothing they can do to replace my food. I would not recommend this location. Their cook this morning must not be awake to let this many egg shells get in the scrambled eggs. Will not be ordering from here again.
Fast seating but a little slower in getting food and not much checking on us. Not a fan of the biscuits and gravy but their pancakes, catfish, and hashbrown casserole is delish. I also like their crispy bacon which I did not get this time. Wait staff were super friendly.
Ate dinner there. Service was adequate, not exceptional. Supposed to get 4 pieces of chicken, got only 3. Had to ask where our dinner rolls were. Waitress forgot them.Food was tasty, well prepared and delivered in timely manner.
Bonnie was our server today! And she was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She was very attentive, made us feel at home. Took EXCELLENT care of us. AWESOME service! Super friendly atmosphere! Tables were clean and sanitary. We will definitely be returning. We loved Bonnie! ?
Depends time of day. Usually accommodates and pleases. It has gotten better. For a while on the past two years I swore I would never return
Usual store layout, gift shop and restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good experience and food. We did breakfast: Grandma's sampler and Uncle Herschel's with catfish. Definitely will be back
Not this one...I remember when at minimum, presentation was nice (just 2 years ago). And I don't want to hear it has to do with covid or lack of employees because that's BS. The last couple of times I went my food looked awful and it looked like it'd been tossed on the plate. Today my eggs were undercooked & my bacon was overcooked to the point that it was chewy and some of the ends were actually black; even the hashbrown casserole was overcooked. As nice as our server was I felt rushed near the end when she came over twice to clear our plates which was not an act of trying to keep our table clear because on her 2nd visit she asked if she could clear more plates or are we still working on it when I still had a fork in my hand so obviously I was still "working on it." They were not busy enough to be in such a rush. Maybe assist the bussers at the empty tables that had no patrons at them instead of rushing the people that were still eating. I actually took a photograph from my plate because I couldn't believe how awful it looked...I'd rather drive all the way over to Saint Charles to that location than to come back here, and I only live 10 minutes from this location.
I was given a bag and left, once at home It wasn't what I ordered. In fact, it was not even my order. Since we live several miles away, we just ate what was given. I ordered 2 dinners for myself and my wife. My wifw ordered mearloaf dinner and I had ordered the Roast beef. We got a single dinner of the Sunday chicken. This Cracker Barrel has messed up nearly every Togo order I have placed there.
Everything was cold and some was over cooked. I wouldn’t recommend the fried chicken
