I went for breakfast for the first time. Our waitress was very attentive and effective. I ordered a ham, cheese, and mushroom omelet. It was happy with the portion and the taste. My friend had eggs benedict.
Fantastic service. Great food. Always loved this place and even today after 20+ years it still doesn't disappoint.
This place has gotten worse over the year. My boyfriend and I waited 45 minutes just for them to bring us half our order and burnt sausages. Will not be back. I also noticed that she took the order of a white family when a black lady and her daughter and granddaughter was there before the white family waiting a long time . SmhMay 15th 2022 11:00am
The cook was very rude to the waitress didn't speak English nor really understood the order receipts... This is the second bad experience I've had at this diner I will never return... The pasta was spoiled and the Philly was Steakums... Gtfoh ?
The food was excellent and the wait staff was helpful. The only downside was the table busser that was cussing himself (I guess himself) in the mirrors around the walls. He also tried bussing our table before we even got our food.
Use to be great place. It took 30 minutes for 3 simple orders. One server and one cook. They were out of lots of items on menu. It was a sad situation
I have been to City Diner many times, when I lived in the Lou previously, and loved it. Recently stopped in and they were busy so we were ok with waiting. After 45 minutes they hadn’t taken our order so we decided to go elsewhere. Upon leaving we stopped to pay for our drinks. We were informed that the price of a mimosa was $8 instead of $6 as listed on the menu because “prices have gone up”. I’ll give two stars for the memories.
The cook was very mean to the waiters he literally told her he not making the food ..then after they argued with each other I finally got the food and it was horrible and very badly presented..I give chances but this was just flat out ghetto.and I had to drive all the way back to get my money back because manager wasn't there..just a sad day for the people.
Food was bland and greasy. Kid loved the salad. Prices and portions were decent if it tasted good.
As of March 2022Great tasting food with a really nice staff. Lots of room inside with a good vibe. I plan to come back for sure!
