This restaurant was easy to find. It was dark at night since there was not much light nearby. The restaurant had a simple decor and was clean. I ordered some drumsticks for dinner. The size of drumstick was huge so they are not really an ideal choice for fried chicken. The sauce was delicious. Staff were friendly. I would prefer a smaller size drumsticks and wing so there would be more crispy skin.
We loved this place! My husband was looking for authentic Korean corndogs in St. Louis, and we came to the right spot.I recommend ordering a mix of things to try. Definitely get the corn dog and donuts. the donuts were some of the best I’ve ever had!! Please make more donut options! I personally wasn’t crazy about the slaw that comes with the chicken, but my husband liked it. Super friendly staff, but make sure you order ahead since it will probably be a 20+ min wait.Would definitely come back!
Authentic Korean Fried Chicken in St Louis. Makes not traveling to Seoul easier. Park across the street at the yoga place. The must order item is the SDSB, which is the rice cake and hotdog on a stick. The tteok is roasted and crispy on the outside and still chewy on the inside. OMG yum. ???
Short Story: INCREDIBLE Korean fried chicken! Made fresh from scratch and then delivered hot to your table! You MUST try the Rice Crispy Fried Chicken Breast Strips!Long Story: After getting my mother into K-Dramas, she kept getting a hankering for Korean fried chicken (as it’s featured being eaten by characters in a lot of K-Dramas). We did a quick Google search and found Chicken Seven to have the highest-rated reviews. I can completely understand why! Chicken Seven makes each order of their fried chicken from scratch and delivers it piping hot to your table. Their chicken is SO crunchy and flavorful! Each bite is hot and savory! The staff are all so kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. We weren’t sure how much to order initially, and our waitress gave us excellent advice. Our table of four split a Boneless Chicken Combo (with Yum Yum sauce and Honey Garlic sauce), a Korean Corn Dog, and an order of 6 Rice Crispy Chicken Breasts and we were all full after devouring each dish! The Peach Tea is amazing as well and nice and sweet. All of us were in awe of how good Chicken Seven is, and we can’t wait to come back again soon!Tip: They are quite busy on weekends, so you may have a bit of a wait since each order is prepared from scratch (but it’s totally worth it!). If you’re in a crunch for time, try visiting during the weekdays for less of a wait.
If you’re looking for some local Korean chicken, this is the place to go! The garlic chicken reminds me of my fav place in Korea, Kyochon Chicken! And the Korean YumYum (양념) Flavor is on point. We also got the original and it was super crispy. It’s crazy how saucy but crispy the chicken is. The size of the wings are incomparable to like BWW or other wing places. They’re huge! The Korean cheese dog and the SDSD on a stick was so good, and the the Rabokee was a killer appetizer. My dad really liked the sauce so he ate every drop! Super satisfied and def will be back!
We got a large assortment of things to try out and were extremely happy with what we received. Corn dogs, sausage and rice skewers, octopus balls, rice Krispy chicken and the medium wings and drumsticks. The corn dogs are filled with cheese and coated in sugar, and oh so tasty! I was hoping to have one for lunch tomorrow but it didn't make it. The sausage and rice skewers were coated in the aptly named yum-yum sauce and had a nice little bit of spice built into them. Octopus balls were a hit with the family as well. The chicken was super crispy, even with the sauce. We went with the yum-yum sauce and it has a little bit of spice but was fine for the kids, quite tasty too! The other sauce we chose was the honey garlic, between the two the yum-yum is the better, but the honey garlic is no slouch. We tried out the donuts, 2 of each flavor and they were sweet, but not overly so. I would be hard pressed to pick which was better, pumpkin or red bean. The store was clean and had a TV showing Korean street food videos, a number of Yankees for dining in and a good sized bar. The people are so incredibly kind. I can't wait to go back and neither can the rest of the family.
Amazing Korean Fried Chicken! We ordered the 10 piece Drumsticks and were impressed by the size and crunchiness of it all. My friend said that Chicken Seven puts all other fried chicken TO SHAME. I have to agree with him. The ttekbokki and Korean corndog were great as well!So happy to support this local small business. Will definitely be coming back soon!!
I was first bested by the inner door of the vestibule... people were present, but the door was locked!? Turns out they hit a buzzer to let you in, and don't forget to turn the handle on the way out.The waitstaff was very pleasant and friendly. Our order was taken promptly, and a carafe of water was provided. Videos of Korean kitchens making various foods was mesmerizing, despite no sound or dialog. It's good we had this entertainment, as the food took 45 minutes to arrive. This was the only downside, even if you're planning to eat-in, call ahead to order. The chicken itself was crispy as hell, and perfectly moist. Wings varied in size, but the drums made up for it. The honey garlic and yum yum sauce were solid.
Great food! We had been waiting for great Korean food and we found it! We really liked the yum yum sauce.. we'll def be back to try more!
This is my new favorite fried chicken place... it was perfectly fried and large portion sizes! We got two orders of chicken and fries, thinking that the pieces would be smaller... as you can tell from this pic, the portions are generous. Food was available for pick up on time. Definitely going back.
