I try to patronize restaurants in my neighborhood, but unfortunately, when I do, this usually is the outcome: mediocre food for too much money. Carnivore offers really nothing special that you can’t get at any other brunch joint. It’s also extremely loud inside and outside, and for some reason they only play hits from the early 2000’s…? It’s bizarre. Our server was very nice but she was also new so we ran into a few small hiccups but nothing major. I ordered the spicy scramble. It was not spicy, was very bland, and I ended up giving the rest of it away. My MIL got the flatbread and it was also bland, my husband got the carnivore breakfast and while his bacon and potatoes were good, again, they didn’t really stand out. The drink he ordered was good, the brunch punch. Overall, I don’t really see any reason to return for brunch, maybe lunch or dinner would be a better option!
1st let’s start positive - the service was good. I ordered the strip steak and potatoes - my husband the steak sandwich. We both requested medium well and they both were red / not pink in the middle.. my husbands was almost bleeding. The steak was tough with very little flavor .. sides of potatoes were just ok .. I was not impressed at all sorry.

Great coffee. Presentation of brunch dishes was very inviting. We had the shrimp Benedict and shrimp and grits. Don’t mind the loudness of this place. Had to send Benedict back as poached eggs were literally cold. Upon the second time around they were warm, but not hot by any means. Service was fine. It was nice to get a salad with the Benedict vs potatoes. Again, learn to serve the poached eggs hot and poached medium and then it would be a 5 star rating.
It was good and the service was the best in a while!! Made good suggestions and ended up with good desserts!!
Absolutely amazing place and wonderful food. Our server, Annalise (I hope that's spelled right!), Was absolutely amazing! She was fun and had an amazing attitude making our night extremely fun enjoyable.The food was to die for and the drinks tasted fantastic. I had an amazing time and enjoyed everything last night!!!
A great alternative to the amazing Italian fare on The Hill, Carnivore is a top quality steak house (with some pasta options because they are on The Hill after all!). The steaks are on the pricier side, but the quality justifies the expense by far. The sides are ample and the appetizers will satisfy any pallette. Service was impeccable with both attention to detail as well as making sure the customer enjoys the experience. Highly recommended for a first date or a gathering with friends!
AND THE AWARD FOR BEST BACON GOES TO….. CARNIVORE!! I came here yesterday for Sunday brunch and BOY am I just amazed. I was seated quickly, the staff was friendly and honest, and the bacon - oh man, the bacon is the best I’ve ever had. I got the steak ‘n hash and finished every last bit. The atmosphere is lively and the place is clean and inviting. I can’t wait to come back!
We stopped in and ordered happy hour appetizers which were wonderful. The steak medallions were so good we will be back for more. The rice calls were also unbelievably good. There was enough food here that was all we needed for dinner. We will be back
