This place is fantastic! The food was excellent!!! The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and all of the employees were very kind. Nicky was our server and she was the best server, hands down, that me and fiancé have ever had. She was very personable, kind, and had service that could not be matched! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent steakhouse or fine dining experience. The only thing I could mention was the valet parking was very confusing and I drove around the block three times trying to figure out how to get helped. I think this could be easily addressed with some better signage. It was clear there was valet parking, but where the entry was to get helped was very confusing. The valet man Carter was very kind though and helped us promptly after pulling up.This was a wonderful experience and I will certainly be returning!

Our waiter was great, but the food was very mediocre and the food was slow to come out. There are much better steak houses in St Louis.

Great food. Great atmosphere

This restaurant not only had delicious food, they also provided the best service! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Our waiter Logan was the best waiter we have ever had. He took good care of us, was very patient as this was our first time eating here, and was also very personable. My daughter and I split a meal and he was sure to have them plate out meals separately which was such a nice touch. My husband ordered something of the menu and it came out perfect! It was great to see he was training a new staff member because his teachings will be valuable. Logan thank you for starting off our vacation on a great note!

I loved the service, but the food was not great. The place was very noisy. The appetizers that were suggested, were all breaded and fried. The steaks, potatoes and other sides were over seasoned. I eat at many steakhouses and would definitely pass this one for the many much better establishments in the area. If you make a good steak, You don't need to put too much seasoning in it!

A fun, yet sophisticated, atmosphere. I got the 10 oz steak andy partner got the Porterhouse steak. Both food items were excellent. Delicious bread and sides. Our waiter, Logan, made my birthday dinner here special.

Service was wonderful. Steak was dry and over-salted. Risotto was salty and watery, shrimp scampi was small and water logged. The dessert had unbreakable pecan shells in it, which thankfully didn't break a tooth. Service and management were wonderfully attentive and quickly removed the dessert from the menu. Again, the people were great the food was not. When you add Carmine's price point onto that food it was one of the more disappointing dining experiences I've had in over a decade.

Carmine’s Steak House, located in the heart of downtown St. Louis, is a family owned restaurant specializing in beefsteak. Established in 1934, it is one of three restaurants (the other two being Lombardo’s Restaurant and Lombardo’s Trattoria) in St. Louis owned and operated by the Lombardo family. Carmine’s menu features a variety of aged beef and hand cut chops, rack of lamb, fresh seafood, chicken entrees, and delicious house made desserts. I had the bone-in ribeye, and it was fantastic! Be sure to also try Lombardo’s signature toasted ravioli as it too is fabulous. Look for Carmine’s in the newly renovated Drury Plaza Hotel on the corner of Fourth and Walnut, just a few blocks from Busch Stadium (20 South 4th Street). It offers takeout, table service, and outdoor seating options. Note that service is exceptional. Carmine’s is open for dinner Monday through Saturday (Monday through Thursday from 4:00 until 10:00 and Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 until 11:00). Last seating is at 8:30 for early closes and 9:30 for late closes). Call ahead for reservations (guests without reservations may not be accommodated). Note that the restaurant has a strict 15-minute grace period. Carmine’s has a full bar, complementary valet parking, and free WiFi service. It also has private rooms that can accommodate up to 125 people for lunch or dinner banquets.

This place was excellent! The steak was delicious and they did an excellent job! Fast service, friendly staff and great times! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We needed a treat. Our party of three was quickly greeted and seated! Our head server was Logan and was on point from the start. Their aged cherry old fashion was a hit, not too sweet, and a great start. The chopped Caesar salad was outstanding, cold, and crisp. A trio of various beef, with the best cut being a prime aged, bone-in filet mignon cooked perfectly medium rare, with a stuffed side potato, that was shareable, but wasn’t. The filet was a step above basic Angus, “Heritage” I believe. Order it if it is on the menu! The aged 14 oz prime strip steak was very tender, cooked to a perfect medium rare, as requested, and the best part was the residual jus. Side order was roasted Brussels with yummy bits of bacon with a creamy cheese sauce. The plate was clean! The Filet Gorgonzola, with side of twice-baked potato was another great serving. Not only were we privileged to have Logan as our lead, Mike, was a bonus and became our sommelier extraordinaire. We were not going big in price, but his knowledge was much appreciated. With out last pour of wine, we crushed a slice of German chocolate cake and ended our meal with a smile.
