We've given this place a few tries over several years and tonight was absolutely terrible. Cheese dip tasted like pizza almost. Lemonade was like dish water. Kids Mac n cheese was horrible. My kids even hated the fries and they love all potato products. Crab cakes had a spongey texture that just didn't sit well at all. We've gotten better "Mexican" food at Chili's. Extremely disappointed with the food considering how much we spent.
I was staying at the nearby Hilton and the reviews intrigued me. The place is in a very nice town. I was seated quickly and they had plenty of servers. I opted for the Tuesday Taco special, all pork tacos with a side of sweet corn meal mix. The pork belly taco was EXCELLENT. The other 2 were very good as well. They raised tacos to a new level. Chips and salsa were also good. It was a cheap meal. I go back if I could to try more.
The margaritas flights are a 5 star winner. The food was good. They service was excellent! Call ahead the place gets busy!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in St Louis, that I've found. The margaritas are absolutely fantastic, and the quality of the food is superb. I frequently hunt out Mexican food when I travel back to the states as it is so difficult to find in Europe.. it's one of the things I miss the most. I went to about 6 other places before I found this place in Kirkwood (which also has a lovely, walkable atmosphere and small town feel), and none of the others came close to this place. The servers were helpful, kind, and attentive, but not intrusive. Highly recommend!!!! A bonus, if you actually want spicy food, they won't be stingy on it if you ask for it, so for those heat seekers....you're in for a treat!
Excellent food. Even the kids menu items are great quality. The house signature margarita is one of the best margaritas ever.
Excellent food and curbside service! I had the pulled pork quesadilla, and my wife had the mixed salad with spicy fish in it. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. One of our Kirkwood faves!
