Great food! The potato salad is rich and creamy, as is the Mac n cheese, and if coughs meat! It’s delicious and served generously on the bun. The New Orleans sauce is my favorite. Ending the meal with banana pudding was perfect. Thank you for the food and the great experience!!
Huge shout out to Hank and Aces! They catered my son’s engagement party yesterday! We couldn’t have been happier with the quality and selection of bbq! We had pork ribs, brisket, burnt ends, baked beans, and Mac and Cheese! Everything single item was delicious! We had about 25 folks at the party and everyone said the same thing: “Now, where is this place?! This is perfect bbq!!” I told them “on the Avenue, where else!” Thank you for working with me long distance to make this happen for my son and his fiancée! Hank and Acres helped make this occasion absolutely perfect! I will be back next time I am home! To eat and say “hi!” ❤️
Traveling through town (from NH) we searched online for an authentic bbq joint. This did not disappoint! We had brisket sandwiches for lunch and when we said we like 'crispy' fries, they were made specifically to our request!! We tried out 3 different sauces, one for fry dipping, and couldn't decide which one was best. The staff/owner(?) was super friendly, warm and welcoming. Quick service. We will definitely make it a pit stop next time we are through here! A special banana pudding treat at the end topped off the experience. Well done!
Fantastic mom and pop BBQ stand right on the side of the road. The brisket sandwich was brimming with meat and the sides were fantastic. You’re a fool for not finishing off the meal with some peach cobbler. You won’t get barbecue like this on the east coast!
Barbecue was excellent and great customer service!! My husband loved the jalapeño sausage! We will be back!!
This was my first visit, I have heard great thinks. I was not disappointed. I have also heard they serve a great breakfast. I will be coming back to try it.
Took a trip to the north side of town for breakfast at this local gem. The staff was phenomenal and the atmosphere just felt and smelled like barbecue. My brother suggested we both get the pulled pork gravy and black pepper biscuits with fried eggs and we each ordered brisket breakfast tacos. Both items were $4 a piece with large portions! All of the food was delicious. Also enjoyed the housemade Alabama white sauce. Will definitely return for many meals.Edit, just ate here for lunch and the brisket sandwich and fries were very good. The brisket was piled high and the fries were ample and tasty (definitely not something that came in frozen). Ver friendly staff.
The couple running the joint is very friendly and pleasing to chat up. The BBQ is done right with rubbed ribs that are done the way ribs should be done. We didn't see the jalapeño sausage on the menu and they brought out a few peices to try. It was delicious. The brisket was also fantastic. They are coming around to their first year in business and I believe they'll become a staple. This place is doing pit BBQ justice!
