Located inside East Hills Mall Food Court, Chinex provides constantly good food with very generous portions.
Never heard of Taco John's. The internet listed it as one of the 10 best Mexican restaurants in St. Joseph so we gave it a try. It's a chain restaurant kind of like Taco Bell. I told the young man at the counter that we'd never eaten there before and asked what he recommended. He said he was cheap and usually got a bean burrito and added all of the free stuff to it that he could. I told him that sounded pretty good and to make me one just like it. It was really good. It was loaded with pico and onions. Try one when you're there.
It's a Taco Johns. If you have had food at one, you have had the food here. It's good and the people are great and fast!
Haven't seen one of these in years and decided to give it a try for breakfast. First off, order was wrong, second off, the wrong order was not very good at all.
I once enjoyed going to Taco John's for typically fast-too Tex-Mex. Those who recall the 'pink slime' scandal can relate to how Taco John's has stretched its 'beef' with the byproducts. This has resulted in a notable textural difference, and a much flatter taste in their food. Even the refried beans seem to have suffered with the changes. To be fair, the corn is still crispy, and the lettuce is still fresh. I like to be able to taste some spice in my Mexican food, and the stuff in the packets just doesn't do it for me. The prices are still economical, and you could feed a family inexpensively. I tend to gravitate towards one of the other Mexican places in town, if that rings any associations.
When ordering consider to ask the cooks advice on what would be the best choice.
