Haven’t been to a Cheddars in over a decade, honestly didn’t know they still existed. Stopped in St Jospeh, MO on our way back from vacation. Not much of a fan of chain restaurants but it was late and they were open. Pulled up and outside the restaurant is dimly lit intentionally not sure why but is looked new and modern. Inside the restaurant was clean and the host happily setup tables for 11 of us. Our server actually seemed excited to have a table of 11 at 9:30pm near the end of her shift which I was impressed with.Warm sticky buns are complimentary which were fantastic especially for the hungry kids. Orders were placed , drinks came promptly then food which was hot and surprisingly flavorful. Cheddars now dubs themselves a scratch kitchen which seems a bit over confident at first but can say everyone’s meals hit the spot.Everything was prompt and service was attentive. I haven’t been treated this good in a while! So Cheddars has restored my lagging faith in chains for one more day.
We had French dips. So good, I had a side salad and hubby had side mac and cheese, he liked it. The buns were perfect and toasty. The aujus was good, but needed to be hot. I love the cracked pepper. We will be back.
Staff was amazing! We originally went to sit and eat there but we wanted a deal that was curbside exclusive. So we ended up having drinks, then getting the curbside order and taking it home. Staff was extremely friendly and did everything to help us figure it out. The food was absolutely amazing as always and the price was phenomenal.
Food was good. We enjoy Cheddar's. Service was odd. We had barely gotten our food and she came by and asked if we needed boxes to go. Also, when we were seated, the hostess took us past several empty tables and put us in an alcove. It seemed to my wife and I that we were not dressed properly and needed to be hidden. Oh, well.
Great food and our waitress was on top of her game. The restaurant was super clean and the atmosphere is great. The only issue we had was the bar tender was complaining very loudly about coworkers and customers and shift times and this and that. It really distracted from the experience and I'm pretty sure it embarrassing too the other staff. Other than that one person it was a great experience.
Pleasantly surprised with restaurant choice. We finished our 1st race and wanted good food. Tons on the menus to chose from. There was not a long wait snd everything tasted great
Mother's Day dinner for six. We areived at 6:15 and was seated at 6:45. Appetizers (cheese bites and spinach dip) were good. Main dishes of chicken tenders, Alfredo, coconut shrimp, steak and tilapia with shrimp were yummy and portions generous. Service was good for how busy they were. Good variety of food choices. Average costs of our meal was $20 pp with no alcohol.
Great food. Great waitress. Very quick service. We were traveling so really appreciated this. My husband had the chicken fried steak which had way too much breading otherwise tasted good
Ladies up front greeted us an were super nice. The gentleman that waited on us was quick, made sure we had our refills, and all around great customer service! Food was delicious like always!
Had a party of 20, had called ahead- to try to get as close as possible. Did not happen. Put 6 at one booth, then other people in next booth-- then 6 of our group in next. Then gave us 2 booths that accommodated 4 each. Large area left open -----could of held all of us.. service was good, tho.
