Great place for traditional Mexican food!
This place is authentic Mexican and so flavorful. There's a Mexican store attached with fun candies and authentic foods. The salsa is different then the usual restaurant with more of a smooth texture and delicious flavor. The prices are good for the portion sizes and the food is so delicious. The "636 tradicional" mixed meat fajitas were so flavorful and the meat was perfectly cooked fell the steak to the shrimp. My BF got the steak entree and the enchiladas and he said both were so so good. The Tres leches (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) was the best I've ever had! Just so delicious all around with layers of flavor in everything even without all the cheese and usual frills. We've been twice and will keep returning and spreading the word. First, I was blown away by the salsa. I bought some for home. Then the waitress was amazing. I found things on their menu that you won’t see at other shops, like gorditas. Yum! Great atmosphere/decor while staying casual and the prices were reasonable. When I told the waitress how tasty everything was she said the owner is the chef and takes pride in everything. My only disappointment is that they didn’t have cheese dip. I don’t think it’s on the menu. Maybe because the chef only serves recipes he’s perfected and he hasn’t dabbled in queso dip yet? Still, this is my favorite MX Restaurant. Can’t wait to visit again.
Super disappointed! :-( the last time we ordered take out it was delicious, I had ordered a quesadilla. Yum yum!! But.. This time I got 2 Carne Asada burritos, to go!! I omitted the lettuce and tomato but added sour cream to BOTH yet they only added it to one!! So my husbands burrito was so dry and bland he couldn’t even swish it down with his soda!! Mine wasn’t dry but I kept pulling out fatty pieces! Ewe not fun!! I love Mexican food and I’ll try here again I think I’ll get the Cali burrito next time, see how that pans out!!
Chips are usually stale... I hope they get that figured out. Last time the rice was also old.Other than that it's pretty good food for a great price and a great price on draft beer.
Best authentic food in town. Excellent drinks. Top notch, but like family relaxing atmosphere.
Absolutely a hidden gem if you are new to the area. The food is absolutely amazing and the signature house made margaritas are a must try! Our server was super friendly and helpful answering questions about the menu. 100% WILL go back again. Definitely give them a try. It’s a smaller place so large parties might be tough.
This is NOT Texmex so if that’s what you want go elsewhere. This place is however unique, authentic, and delicious. If you’re open minded try it out.
Absolutely amazing! If you want real authentic Mexican food come here. I highly recommend the tacos or tortas. Be sure to come on the weekends and try the birra. I’m sad it took me this long to find this place.
This place charges more on each item on their menu, I ordered a taco combo $7.99, bill price $8.31, guacamole 3.99, bill price 4.35, I asked the waitress why the prices were different, she said, we charge a little more for credit card transactions, I told her, why would you bring a bill with higher prices before you know what method I will be paying with? Her reply was they do it on everyones bill, I asked her if there is a sign posted stating this practice since the receipt does not, she said no. I also asked how they figure what the extra amount is, she said it's a percent, so I asked what's the percent, since obviously 32 cents extra on 7.99 and 36 cents extra on 3.99 makes no sense, and all the waitress could say is, I could take it off. So, I paid cash and will never go here again.
