Went for wine and appetizers. Appetizers were so so and wine was too expensive for what it was. Service was sketchy.
Delicious blt and tasty fries. The service was great and they have a cute patio!
Tompkins is Top Notch! The banquet space at Tompkins has such an elegant and rustic feel to it. The history of the building adds to the experience as well! (Ask your waiter or waitress about the back story of the restaurant). The bourbon selection at Tompkins is DEEP as well. If you enjoy trying new bourbons this is the place for you to be. The staff turns tasting bourbon into an experience by their deep knowledge and understanding of whats being served. Tompkins is where I developed my love for Angels Envy (try the rye)Tompkins also has great specials that constantly keep you coming back. There is truly something for everyone at Tompkins. If you are looking to book a Wedding banquet, a birthday party, or enjoy a blissful lunch or dinner then Tompkins Riverside is a clear choice??
Went there with my to best friends a couple of weeks ago. The fixed price menu is 100% worth it, especially considering the super high quality. And the best part? They do as much as they can in season and pulling from within 50 miles. Theu also seriously understand theor wine pairings.Reservations are recommended, and I can see why! Such amazing food and service!
What a great find. The restaurant is charming, the staff is friendly, the whiskey list is long and the food is excellent.I had the Steak Au Poivre and it was absolutely incredible, no it was perfect. Thank you!Oh and if you make it there (and you really should), you must try the sourdough.
My daughter and I went there to celebrate her birthday. Amazing atmosphere, tasty starters (pork belly), and the host/manager Kyle B had the best energy! The beef I ordered (from their special/limited menu) was unfortunately very tough like jerky, but Kyle B made it right and removed it from our bill without me even asking. These folks really know how to treat their guests. Even though there was the small mishap, we’ll most definitely return to try their normal menu. Kudos to your team! :)
Thank u Kyle & Carla for taking such good care of our large group for Sunday Brunch. I know we were a handful. Mimosa’s were delicious. Also, loved the sourdough bread & scrumptious homemade butter. Your bacon was thick-cut & perfectly crispy. Btw, also nice atmosphere to hang out with family & friends. ??
Went there with a large group for Sunday Brunch at 11 a.m. The wait staff couldn't handle the group and were not all that attentive. My classic breakfast was mediocre at best. Cold toast. Bacon strips overcooked. Scrambled eggs and potato cubes unremarkable. Another person in our group had waffles that were burnt. Could've fared much better at an I-Hop. Certainly not worth what we paid with tip.
Sunday brunch was amazing. We ordered the Wagyu burger recommended by our waitress, Susie. We also had the lobster grilled cheese and the orange dream cheesecake. Everything was made from scratch and tasted awesome, especially the homemade ketchup and the orange sauce on the cheesecake. I want to go back and try their other dinner entrees. Susie was top notch. She has traveled extensively and could talk cooking and spices. So glad to have found this gem. Highly recommended.
This was our first time visiting Tompkins and we could not have been more impressed! The entire staff was so friendly from when we first walked in until we left. Our waitress, Susan, really made our experience. She was incredibly kind and personable - and knew a great deal about the restaurant and food. We enjoy trying new restaurants and must say the food we had here was 10/10; the pork belly and duck had so much flavor and was perfectly prepared. We will absolutely be back in the future.
