We went with another couple for lunch. I had a pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw on the sandwich and also came with fries. The service was very fast and the waiter was fine but the meal was nothing to write home about. The pork sandwich had very little pork on it but a massive amount of cole slaw. I showed my wife and she had a pulled chicken sandwich that had very little meat on it. There was nothing special about the meat. No smoke flavor, no nice seasoning on it, and not moist and tender. The fries were ok, but not hot and fresh. The other couple had sandwiches also and they agreed that the BBQ sauce was the only help to their sandwiches too. We past on dessert and walked down the street and had a nice dessert elsewhere. I don't know why they have such good ratings regarding the food.
Staff is friendly and the outdoor dining is amazing
We have visited this restaurant quite a few times and have been pleased every time. Their burnt-end brisket is excellent and their macaroni and cheese is fantastic.
I wouldn’t know how the food is because the last 2 times we visited it was so loud the waitress couldn’t even hear our drink order. We just said forget it and left. It was wet outside so we had to eat indoors. They seriously need to invest in noise canceling system or noise absorption system.
Amazing food and attentive staff
Food came out quick! However my pulled pork had almost no flavor to it, pickles were sweet not like dill which not everyone likes, should be more clear on the menu. I’ve had more flavorful pulled pork at Texas Roadhouse… brisket chili was good though. Tried someone else’s brisket and have had better also. Sad because I was looking forward to some good smoked food!
Great experience. Took my husband here for his birthday. The drink of choice - Speyside Paradise. 10/10. pictured. Place was packed so the server took a minute to come by and get our order but the food and drinks came out fairly fast. I had the salad with shredded chicken and it was good. Nice spot.
My wife and son had lunch at the St Charles Salt & Smoke today. Can't say I had food that was as good as Bandannas. These were the truest ribs I have ever been served. Can't say I will be back. I've tried this place 3 times, and never had great food. They should be MUCH better.
We found this by accident and what a find the food was perfect it is in the small town of St charles which was a great visit On our way back across county we plan to stop by again it was that good
If I could give 0 stars I would! The hostess, Hannah, at this store was incredibly rude and had terrible customer service. She wouldn’t seat us at a table in the shade claiming another customer had been paged and they were holding the table for them. But when we asked how long they would hold the table for the other patron, as we would wait to see if they would show, she wouldn’t commit to a time and was very rude. We left and went to another restaurant and received much better service… in the shade!
