Absolute worst experience. What used to be a family restaurant with children is gone. Our grandson was the only child in the place. We were bombarded with pictures of alcoholic drinks everywhere! The menus are advertisements of alcoholic drinks!! After a very long wait, our server told us the meal we ordered was not available. We were served our sides whilst the rest ate their meal. Our visitors from South Africa were greatly disappointed in the quality of food. Our server was very nice but, sadly, there is a break in quality.A note to the corporate office - you’ve lost the family element that made Cracker Barrel a wonderful place to go. You’ve now become just another restaurant that promotes alcohol. We grieve in that. We’ve lost an American icon to the corporate bad management.*Follow up- I received an email regarding our review. I responded with the information requested. I received no further response from Cracker Barrel.*Follow up- We we’re a group of six people. They sent ONE complimentary dessert coupon TO SHARE. Very generous of them. We won’t be back to Cracker Barrel. That is really a rude way to treat an honest review.
Great food and awesome gift shop, lot of old to see on the walls.
We went during Easter Sunday and was seated promptly, and the waitress was nice and friendly. I hadn't been in a while, and the food was still delicious; the pancakes were my favorite. I can't wait to return.
The service was horrible. Are server never came to are table. We had someone come get are drink order and said are server would be right over to take care order. He never showed up so someone else took are order and said are server would be over shortly to refill drinks, still no show. Then are food was brought out by someone else and I asked him to refill drinks. After we were done eating we waited about 20min for are check and nothing. The wife went up and asked for are check and was told server would bring check right away and got nothing. After waiting another 10 min I went up and asked for are check and was informed that waiter would bring it. I informed them that are waiter had never came to are table once and I'm not waiting for him any longer. It was the worst service I have ever had. I won't be going back there anymore.
Our server was very attentive and brought out drink refills before we even needed to ask for them. I love the food and atmosphere though I was a little chilly. Wish I could eat all of my meals here.
With much regret, our experience at one of our favorite restaurants was horrendous. The service was less than desirable and food was cold. I’m not sure why context clues weren’t used, but the butter on the pancakes was not melting, that’s a clear indication that something is not right. My daughter’s egg scramble was Luke warm, we had to ask 6 times for some honey before we got it, and the tea cups were dirty. We had to ask someone to clean the chairs that were simply filthy, and wait for the booster seat and high chair that we requested when we checked in upon arrival. When I mentioned to the server that my eggs were cold and had shells in them, he stated, “…if I made them, they would have been perfect,” instead of offering a solution. I told him I didn’t want the eggs, his response was that they are still a part of the meal. Again, not a solution to the problem. It was a very disappointing experience that makes me rethink returning to this location. One final note, I understand that they may have been short staffed, countless companies are experiencing the same set back, but they are willing to learn how to adapt to overcome. I hope things get better.
The food was hot and fresh. But it’s the candles that helped me to write this post. Not the named branded Yankee Candle, I’m not taking anything from them. But the mom and pop candle made from Vegan ingredients and smelled amazing. It turned out to be a great Valentine’s Day gift for my mother.
Was just saying I've been to dozens of different Cracker Barrels in half a dozen states and have never had a bad meal in one. Spoke too soon. cornbread was cold and hard, sides were cold too. Sadly the fried chicken was the only food that was hot, unfortunately it smelled and tasted like the grease it was cooked in was dead...(any cook will know what that means.) Told our server the one of two times she stopped at our table, but she didn't seem interested. ...still waiting on my sweet tea refill...
Went in for lunch this Sunday afternoon and although the staff had had a crazy busy morning, they were so friendly and kind! Karen H was a lovely server and perfectly attentive. The pot roast special was delicious as well!
My wife, sister in law, brother in law, and myself all received and finished our meal before my father in law and mother in law even received theirs. They ended up taking most of it home since we had been there forever waiting on their food. Food was just okay compared to other Cracker Barrel locations. This was not my local Cracker Barrel but this was the slowest service I've ever experienced. Waitress was very nice to us and apologized, otherwise I'd give this location a lower rating.
