It was really good Sushi! Decently priced too! Still super good and the jasmine tea was amazing! Fuji apple sake was good. Fried jalapenos were good, I highly suggest them!
Very intimate and quite place to eat, went on a lunch date with my husband today. We ordered the Rich and Famous roll, it was delicious. Definitely recommend if you are looking for some authentic Japanese cuisine.
Amazing. This will be my spot for good, fresh sushi in Springfield. The soup was tasty to start. The waitress was sweet. We like the private booth and the presentation of the food was so pretty. They won me completely over with a little rose on my plate of sushi.
We discovered Wayo Japan almost 2 years ago and we keep coming back.It is our favorite spot for dine in celebrations and take out dinner. The owners are very hands on, making the sushi themselves and we have never been disappointed. My family loves their miso soup and we enjoy their lovely, fresh tea.Their attention to detail, restaurant ambiance, great customer service, high quality of food and exceptionalcare taken for food allergies makes this the perfect place. The tables, seats, floors and restrooms are always clean and tidy.We recommend Wayo Japan for sushi lovers, especially if you need gluten-free sushi, soy sauce and miso soup!
Wayo was not our first choice that early afternoon, when other places for sushi were closed after lunch. We were surprised to find nice comfortably sized, privately cubed off tables. The menu is extensive and elaborately diverse. Perhaps the best surprise was the flaming Viking roll! The cuts were large and fresh. Nice presentation and service was excellent
Where in the world did this place come from?!?! Not in a million years would I imagine finding a sushi gem in Springfield, Missouri. This place was pretty dang good! My server was a saint; they frequently checked on me and made me through their mask. On top of that, their tables are all huge booths with walls; incredibly comforting. The Crispy Cream Roll is magnificent! The Eggs Roll and Rock-'n'-roll is no slouch either. Bravo, Wayo Japan, bravo!
Great sushi, we ordered pickup and they treated us just as we would’ve sat down. I also got a pretty little rose along with my sushi that I’m holding on to ❤️
#1 the owner treats his employees with respect (thank you, looks good, good job) was just a few things I heard while waiting to be seated#2 there's things posted from articles inside the entrance (everything made fresh) from one article. I believe that from the taste everything had. Definitely different then what we are used to, but very good!#3 the staff seemed happy and work very hard. Which made the experience great as wellDefinitely a must try local mom and pop. It will be a regular for us now!
One of the few places I've ever been too that remembers me. Always makes me feel incredibly at home when I get to eat at Wayo. Owner is a rockstar and the whole staff has always been stellar. The sushi is up there with the best I've ever had!
Came in for the first time on new years eve because their wait time was reasonable. All I can say is, it was well worth the wait. The miso soup was light and delicious, not too salty, I ordered 4 rolls and I knew after seeing how gorgeous the presentation was, that they would be delicious. I certainly wasn't disappointed. The fish was fresh and well prepared, the combinations of flavors from the rolls made me smile after each bite. Definitely hands down the best sushi I have had in Springfield. We will definitely be back. My new favorite sushi place.
