This is our favorite Waffle House because Chris is an amazing cook! We always enjoy coming to this location because of the friendly staff and his food. He works like a well-oiled machine and we are always impressed! If you want to go to the best Waffle House in Springfield, come in when Chris is working!! He will always make your food right, no matter how busy they are!
Took my mother, father, and kids to Waffle House on Mothers Day! Yes, it was packed, but we got seated quickly, and the servers were all in good spirits. All of our food was made delicious and came to us hot. ? My kiddos had a blast watching the food be made and the interaction with the server made it even more enjoyable.
Your typical waffle house, expect to be waiting 20 to 30 minutes to get a seat(unless you don't mind sitting at the counter), the food is typical for a waffle house, but the staff is fun and friendly. This one is really close to my house, so it is really convenient when you want something from a greasy spoon. It's fairly clean but not great. The bathrooms are pretty gross at times(but what can you expect from over worked under paid employees in under staffed dives). The turnover in staff is pretty crazy, there's always a bunch of new faces. All in all it's decent foor for decent prices - just don't set your expectations too high and you won't be disappointed.
Made a semi truck driver leave plenty of parking left no where else open really. Had no trailer Their the reason people have food on there tables. Poor human decency in that really not cool felt bad for the guy deserves 0stars
Amazing food and service that Waffle House is known for. Loved it as I have grown up on it. I will always go to Waffle Houses till I die!!!
Service was fair, prices are ok. Food was ok at best. You don't come to a waffle house for good food. But I'd at least appreciate warm food at the least.
Super busy at 2 A.M. but that's alright! The staff is super friendly and I've never waited longer than 10 minutes after ordering to get my hashbrowns!
The food didn't come out how we ordered it and our waitress didn't seem to care much about our table. She was nice but she didn't make sure our food was made correct and she also didn't come back to check if we needed refills. Half of the food was burnt, half was under cooked, and most of the burnt food was so hard I couldn't even eat it. The other tables however, that it seemed as if she was friends with, got excellent service. Personally, I think you will have a better experience going to the waffle house location on the corner or republic and national.
Food is always as advertised, hearty American Roadside Diner cuisine. With a twist of truckstop atmosphere. The service varies wildly and is dependent upon the number of customers and the experience of the crew. Since the pandemic has caused such a labor shortage many restaurants have suffered in service and long periods between ordering and food actually arriving at your table. Not the case here. Through sheer dogged determination and a process that has been honed to run smoothly even when down 50% of crew there's barely a noticeable difference. Good job guys. The attitude of the patrons is the most deciding factor in the kind of service you receive. Be nice and don't be a Karen and you'll love it.
We were informed tonight that our absolute favorite server has quit due to retaliation and harassment from her coworkers because she stood up for a disabled regular customer against many rude and deceitful servers. Taylor was such a delight. We really enjoyed her service but she could no longer thrive in her environment at work. We will be going to see her for her amazing service at her new job instead. Shame on this store for letting her leave and keeping terrible employees. They are all lazy and rude.
