This place was great. The staff was great, the coffee was great and the desserts were great. Not to mention, gluten free. The baker has celiac. So rest assured, these sweet treats are safe. This place is a must visit. Great atmosphere to hang out in.
I ate at "The Press" today and honestly was very impressed with the food, however, I was overcharged drastically by the misleading wording on their menu. Specifically the Buddha Bowl which indicates that a protein and a sauce are included in the price. (Apparently they aren't) when I called to remedy this situation their manager said there was nothing he could do and when he escalated it to his boss they told him "well, they should have read THE ENTIRE menu. The menu is misleading and is false advertising as they are trying to nickel and dime unsuspecting patrons. This is absolutely not how you treat customers, but I guess this is probably why there were only 2 other tables during lunch time. I have included a picture of the menu where it clearly states that you can choose a protein and sauce, it is only stated on that specific item which would indicate no upcharge. Whoever "the boss" is is extremely rude. This isn't how you treat customers and expect to remain in business.
I about fell out of my ostrich loafers when along with an espresso, the young lad also handed me a small, perfectly italian sized glass of water! It was the FIRST TIME in America ever being properly served espresso. I don’t even order it usually, because it’s so irritating to be served improperly. But wow.. what a relief, what a find! And everything else is good too, incidentally, notably the pastries and brownies. Bravo to the owners of this cute and welcoming establishment (except for mask signs… which absolutely have to go to the garbage!) — it will be a highlight of my day to come back again (and again!)
They have a lot of vegan options and GF. Kinda pricey and expensive. I tipped when I ordered but next time I will tip after as I was as happy with service. Cute place. Menu online wasn't correct and I had taking everyone's order before I went. Apparently the menu in the store isn't totally correct either so if it is the first time here I would recommend going when you have time to figure out what to order and don't start ordering until you find out exactly what they have. The salad was good. Total before tip $60 (two salads,two drinks one one rice dish)
I have never had a bad experience at The Press! I love their food and feel even better about the quality of the ingredients! This food is good for you and delicious! I can HIGHLY recommend their coffee, vegan brownie, tacos, nourish bowl. I have almost had it all because it’s THAT good! Thanks for providing Springfield (and me!) a place to pick up/dine-in for some delicious nutrient dense food. Thank you! Ps. Love your staff! They are so helpful.

We went in hopeful to try a local coffee shop after finding it through Google. Unfortunately, the service was horrible. In-fact, it was flat out appalling. If I could rate it a zero or negative rating, I would. The girl at the register ignored us. We walked in and said hi and she made eye contact, looked down and proceeded to act as though we weren’t there. Four of us stood there for what felt like several minutes and were never spoken to. We verbalized that maybe we should go somewhere else to only continue to be ignored before walking out. This honestly felt discriminatory. This company should be ashamed of itself. I will gladly take my business elsewhere and will encourage everyone I know to do the same.*SECOND RESPONSE*: I removed my photo off my Google account because it was an older photo and I haven't yet updated it, lol This is absolutely a real review and was the unfortunate experience my friend, her two daughters, and I had on Tuesday, December 21st around approximately 11 AM. I confirmed the time, as we immediately walked over to Starbucks where we made two purchases at 11:12 AM after being shunned by your staff. There were two or 3 occupied tables on the left-hand side and a customer on the bench to the right of entry on her phone. Two employees were working, one behind the espresso machine and one directly behind the counter-BOTH ignored us. While I appreciated your initial response and my husband and I even debated giving it another try, now seeing your second response, I'm glad we passed and this is clearly an establishment we will choose not to patronize. Popped into the place when I was out of town from Kansas City. I was looking for something that was healthy and fresh and a local friend recommended this place. Everything was homemade and so delicious. The salad I ordered was huge and full of fresh, crisp ingredients. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. I’ll be returning for sure. Chef’s kiss.
