Today my husband ate at the Springfield Family Restaurant for brunch before we did our last bit of site seeing before we headed back home after spending 4 nights in Missouri. Sandy our waitress was amazing, friendly quick and really helpful. The coffee was really good & I am quite picky when it comes to coffee. My husband and I both ordered the pork dinner and it was really good. It was much more than what we could eat then , ( we both have had weight loss surgery) So when I food arrived we took the dinner rolls and made 2 pork sliders to take with us and Sandy understood and helped us out . We will eat there again when we go back to Springfield or evening just passing through. There are many others things we want to try on the menu.

When we 1st got there she said we close soon you need to order and eat fast. We did that! It took awhile to get our food and they didn’t even have the food we wanted in the 1st place. Our server was rude and we even heard her talking about us to other employees. I’ve been here before and this place has went downhill. But, to each their own.

Worst breakfast in Springfield, wont be back. Wait staff were great, food was mediocre and not at all what was pictured on the menu. Ordered banana Carmel pancakes. Had about one banana overly ripe with about one line of Carmel and the pancakes were just normal pancakes. Others at the table had the same experience with their dishes. There was a single point of sale station that was also taking Togo orders and unavailable for customers trying to check out. You know it's not good when you hit a breakfast joint around brunch time in Springfield and the place is half empty. Eggs were over easy end ended up being overcooked as well as little baby eggs. Bacon ended up being the smallest saddest little two strips I had ever seen.

Good food. Lots of options. They did their best to keep up with limited staffing.

Comfy, quirky place. Art and photo murals of Springfield on the walls. Super friendly and good service. Menu is HUGE with typical staples and a lot of fun, tasty unique items. Good coffee that quickly gets refilled. Crunchy berry oatmeal, bacon, Chicken Fried Chicken Benedict on a SUPER SOFT BUTTERY BISCUIT were great!!

French toast was ok. Biscuit for biscuit and gravy was so hard you couldn’t stick the fork in it. I assume it sat out over night or something. Eggs and hash browns were mediocre. We wouldn’t eat here again for breakfast.

Always good food and reasonably priced. Good staff also! Just ordered breakfast at 8 at night and it is excellent as usual. The biscuits and gravy is to die for.

Nice atmosphere. Large amounts of great food at a reasonable price. John took great care of us as well.

Was there on Sunday for lunch, so was very very busy. The service was quite good even though the place was slammed. My husband said his food was good, but the grilled chicken on my salad was shoe leather. The place is too small for the amount of business they have and therefore feels very cramped.

This dining experience was perfect! Amazing breakfast, incredible service, super family friendly - clean facility with ample parking and handicap accessibility! Please don't cheat yourself out of experiencing this restaurant. Anxious to go back again! Thank you all for a wonderful experience!??
