Our friends at Pitbull Powersports highly recommended this place as they know I’m from TN and cook a lot of BBQ. Our crew walked in, didn’t know the flow and told the guys this was our first go at Bob’s. The “ red carpet” immediately rolled out in the form of sample burnt ends and pork belly! They then gave us a quick overview of their pit and suggested local favorites. Between the three of us, we had brisket, ribs, ends, belly, cheese corn, smoked potato salad, smoked cheesecake….. Good stuff! Their sauces are awesome too. Hats off to the staff, first and foremost! Great food made even better by the Bob’s team! Thanks for the recommendation, Vanessa! We’ll be back
Oh my, this place was amazing. They gave us some samples before we ordered and I was sold. All of the meats were tender and juicy and the cheese corn was surprisingly unique and delicious. Highly recommend!
I'd heard good things, but am a skeptical KC girl about finding great bbq in Springfield. I've tried a lot, not all. Mostly I've become jaded.Not today. Went just after 11:30am on Saturday, and already there was a line almost to the door. After saying it was our first time visiting, we had a sample of both their pork belly and beef burnt ends. I changed my mind about my order then. It was going to need to include some of these beef burnt ends. While both were good, these were amongst the best beef burnt ends I've had in years. This is a bit shocking, but that statement includes trips home to KC.Also sampled the smoked Mac n cheese, smoked beans and pulled pork. I could just eat those beans as a meal. They've got a bit of heat, I think I saw a jalapeño piece, and good size chunks of meat. Love them. The Mac was good, it's got a good smoky taste, but isn't too much as sometimes happens. The pulled pork was good, but I think it suffered being next to the burnt ends, and I just wanted more burnt ends. There was more burnt ends than in the picture, but I ate some on the drive home, oops.Sauces are sweet, and even the hot is sweet with the heat on the back end of it. I'd choose the hot if eating there, and skip in favor of sauce at home if getting to go.I can't say enough good things. I'm so happy to find the elusive great bbq place of Springfield. Wish I'd visited sooner.PS. I'm told the smoked cheesy corn was tasty by my partner. I didn't eat any, because cheesy corn isn't my thing and honestly, it was inhaled by him even if I did want a spoonful.
Absolutely the BEST BURNT ENDS in Springfield!!! Smoked fresh daily and seasoned to perfection, you have to give them a try. I also had the pulled pork and it was DELICIOUS, just the right amount of fat, and a tangy, sweet flavor. The staff was very friendly and everyone greets you with a smile, you gotta love that. The restaurant is in a great location with plenty of parking, lots of sunlight inside, and a great atmosphere. Glad I had a chance to stop in.
So good! This is not a chain restaurant. This is a wonderful, local place that smokes their meat daily! The meat fell apart in my mouth, the sauces and sides are all homemade! Absolutely loved this place and will be back!
Go ahead Bob!! Came in from Louisiana for the weekend. I read a ton of reviews across the area but this place got a spot in my schedule. BURT ENDS are my love language ?. This place didn’t disappoint. I wanted to try the corn but it was sold out for my late lunch. Don’t make fun of my plate lol. The husband and I ate it twice ?. Spicy and the sweet sauce together was spot on. Yum.
Amazing food but overall they have the most fantastic pork belly burnt ends. The smoked blueberry cheesecake is nothing to sneer at either. My favorite BBQ in Springfield.
Flat out, easily, best barbecue'd meat of all time personally, had 2 meat sampler with pulled pork(9/10) and burnt ends(12/10), single bone of ribs (8/10), and the mac cheese which was mid was ? when mixed in with pulled pork and signature sauces.
We got a 3 meat sampler with chicken, brisket, and burnt ends. Always so good. Smoked cheesy corn was also amazing as always! Today we also tried the smoked blueberry cheesecake and oh my goodness it was incredible! Love love love this place!
Great food, got both kinds of burnt ends and cooked chicken the pork belly burnt ends are amazing, sauce is wonderful and staff I'd extremely friendly. Definitely will be back
