This locally owned restaurant is the best kept secret in Springfield and it's time it got the recognition it deserves. The owner cares about the business and customers so much. The staff in kind and helpful. I am impressed by their menu and they have choices to please everyone including vegetarians, vegans and gluten sensibilitie I got the vegetarian club on white which was so sj thug
Food was good but very small portions and very light on the lunch meat in the sandwich. Personally wont go back due to the portion/cost but you should try it for yourself.
Food was good and service was ok. The large chef salad seemed kind of small.
I love this place! Great atmosphere, fun sandwiches for lunch and great dinners too. I have never had a bad meal there and everyone is super friendly. It can get really busy so plan accordingly!
Ordered a cucumber sandwich, with cream cheese. Sounded so refreshing and a side salad. Asked for a different bread, no problem. When we got our sandwiches, my sister and I, there were two tiny cucumbers, and you could barely see the cream cheese. When I finally went to the back to try and get out waitstaffs attention and told her she came to the table and said that is how they are made. Not professional at all. With in a minute after that a gentleman came from the kichen with a small cup of cream cheese and a few more slices of cucumbers. Perfect, as I really did not want a bread sandwich. And so easy to make the customer happy. I am giving a four star because of the gentleman in the back. It would of been so easy to have a five star if the waitstaff would of been cordial.
Wonderful tomato soup and salad. My mom had the 3 cheese quiche and just loved it. Will definitely go back when in town. Staff was very nice and friendly. Was there around 1pm and still was a line but not a long wait.
I love the Special Pastrami sandwich. Try the loaded potato salad - it's very good! And of course, their famous, chunky veggie and tomato soup is always a must-have side or appetizer!
Hardly Famous—Food came fast which was great until we realized there was hardly anything on the plate. Got the pastrami and BLT which had more Mayo than meat. Overpriced to begin with and then a fee for using a credit card on top of it. Waited 10 mins to get my card back…felt like I was being held hostage. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Save your money and make a sandwich at home.
Lunch or dinner is great here. Pleasant atmosphere. Food is wonderful. Staff is always friendly. Someone always ready to share a smile with you.
Great home made potato salad and a fantastic tiramisu.
