Nice atmosphere. Friendly people. Waiter could have been more attentive. He seemed confused that we would like bean dip with the chips. The chips were blah, the salsa great. I like the Mexican Villa by the art museum better.
So, I've been eating at this establishment all my life (I'm nearing 51 years old). And today was the first day that I refused to eat something.I'm not sure if they are under new management or owners, but the quality of the foods (that I ordered) seem lacking.First of all, the chips which used to be hot, fresh and crispy corn tortillas and now look and taste more like lukewarm shake singles. The white cheese, that was smooth, sweet and hot..this time was thick (to the consistency of carpet glue) and flavorless. Not to mention that I love and I do mean love Spanish/Mexican rice. But this time, it seemed to be an oily, undercooked box of Uncle Ben's.I am so disappointed that I brought my family here.I can't blame the host or the server, they were great. But the food quality has taken a down turn.
We were blessed to have Desi as our waitress. To say she was amazing would be an understatement. She was so friendly, polite. Our food came out super fast our drinks never ran empty. Just an all around GREAT EXPERIENCE.!!!!
Got the Mexican combo i think was the name of it, it consisted of a Taco an enchilada a tamale and something else and beans and rice it was awesome and so was the service. My female friend that was with me gave the waitress a $20 bill for a tip as she was so nice and very friendly as I am sure the other servers we're just as nice and friendly. I recommend getting this combo it will definitely please your palate and make you wanna go back again, you will love the service and friendly atmosphere. Enjoy!!!
The food was kind of bland, didn't really have any flavor. The beans were very thick, again not a lot of flavor and I had just basket of three tacos and the meat was cold. I bought iced tea for $2.49 and I only got one glass because the server never came back. I would have understood had the place been busy, but it was a Monday and there was hardly anybody there. Has lots of ambiance though.
I don't understand the allure... huge stale chips, gross salsa, no flavor in guacamole... meal was a thrown together mess on plate... everyone's meal tasted the same and looked the same... what mexican restaurant only offers 1 style margarita? And no fajitas?? Really? Won't be back for sure!
We made our first and what will be our only visit to this chain. If you are looking for Mexican food, this is not the place. If you have a downright thorough hankering for Tex-Mex, this establishment might be your speed. We receive poor attitude from the hostess. The server started out with good service but spiraled downward towards the end of the visit. The chips were not fresh and probably came out of a bag from the store. The salsa tasted like it came out of a jar and was not very tasty. It took me forever to find something that looked okay to eat. Nothing on the menu looked appealing. I settled on tacos. The food was served hot but was not very good. A side of rice and beans cost almost as much as three tacos. The food was not worth the cost.Save yourself time and money and find another place to go… ☹️
Food was really good and service was great as well. Highly recommend the burrito with enchilada sauce.
The food isn't too bad. A little on the blan side as it is more of a Tex Mex style restaurant. However their dips are really good! And the salsa is good as well.
Food is always good. The place was dirty, napkins, food everywhere on the floor. Waitress was nice, took awhile to get refills. I'll be back, just hope it's cleaner.
