I used to live in Springfield and ate in this McAlister's frequently. Although the decor and employees have changed in the last ten years, the hospitality and food have not. Just as I remember, the employees are very friendly and helpful, and the food is terrific. All of the McAlister's in Springfield are well above average, but this one is still my favorite.

An older location for sure, still offers a speedy and delicious experience that can’t be beat by the other, nearby eats. Service was good and the communication was efficient.

I'll start by saying everyone there was busting their humps to keep up with food orders and keeping tables cleared during a busy Sunday lunch hour - awesome job with that. Only reason for 4 stars is that we did have to wait a while for our dine in order which was perfectly fine for us, it just would have been nice if it was communicated at the time of ordering to let us know things were a little slower on the service side. Nothing negative about anything else at this location.

Good food, plesent service, nice atmosphere, I will eat there again. Try th New Yorker, it should satisfy ur appetite.

Service a little slow for us, other people behind us got their food before use. Was specifically asked if I wanted the pickle but didn't get it.

My order was missing the sandwich and chips. The veggie spud had 3 vegetable pieces on it. When I called the restaurant, they offered a $5 refund. So I got 1/2 tortellini soup, 1/2 a cup of brocolli soup and and a baked potato with basically no veggies and I paid $15.

My baked potato was cool, my husband's sandwich brought back the old commercial from Burger King ' Where's the beef/ meat?' very small portions- not worth the price- I go by myself a lot but won't get my husband back

They were out of several items. I ordered for here and didn’t realize they didn’t give me a table number. I went up to ask and the young lady said Here and handed me my to go order that had just been sitting there. I said customer service is lacking tonight. Keeshon sarcastically said there’s only 2 of us. I told him that wasn’t an excuse for poor customer service. He said SO! He wouldn’t look at me. I asked for his name and he said Keeshon, so what! I said there is no excuse for attitude or lack of customer service. His response I DON’T CARE with an attitude. Another young man tried to help and said she’s right. Someone needs to talk to Keeshon - he’s obviously not in the right job! Still a fan of McAllisters - just not of Keeshon!

The food is always delicious; however very expensive in relation to portion sizes. I was very disappointed when I opened my carryout order of soup & sandwich when I saw how small each was after paying almost $15 for it with a tea.

We ate here last night as a family. They were out of multiple things, - potatoes, Mac n Cheese, and a couple other things (oddly the things on a list taped to the register were NOT the things they were out of). Two people walked out. 1 person had to change their order after paying to sub something they didn't want. Another person bought Mac n cheese, and was informed at their table the customer leaving the store took the last of their Mac n cheese - "we have more in the back but we don't wanna get it out of the freezer." Personally we had 2 sides of the Mac n cheese, but it was cold, and tasted extremely old - bad enough my 4 year old didnt want it lol. Forced to tip ahead of time at the register (dumb) the service we received at the table was extremely curt, plates nearly dropped on our table, and "there ya go." The kids seemed more interested in having a good time with each other behind the counter than serving. We love McAllisters, but this location was definitely a disappointment.
