Drive thru menu has very few options on the LJS side, just expensive ones not the specials. Annoying. Quality of fish isn't near Captain D's and LJS costs more. I haven't been to a LJS in years... no loss. The shrimp were large, and perfect so 2 stars. Fries greasy sack had grease running out.
I went thru the drive thru around 4:00 today. I haven't had LJS for a good while. I thought it would be prime time to get some"fresh" fish. There were no one there I was the only customer. I was prepared to wait because it would take a few minutes to cook but I got it immediately. I drove up I gave them my card and they handed me the food with my card. Ok,it was fast and it was hot but it tasted like they refried it just to heat it up. My son will eat most anything but he said it just wasn't right...it tasted old. So I guess it doesn't make any difference when you go...Freshness just isn't there?FYI,I loved LJS...
I had been traveling all day, tried to go inside only open for pick up orders or hubgrub. Drive thru only, I ordered fish and shrimp. Hush puppies were hard as a rock, fish and shrimp both undercooked, only good thing was the Cole slaw. No ice for your drinks. Then they didn't have any of the sauces I had asked for. Who sells shrimp with out cocktail sauce. Would have thought someone could have ran to store behind them got cocktail sauce and packed it in plastic cups for customers, or gotten some ice bags. Really ruined it all. Won't go back there again.
I went through the drive thru to grab lunch. I ordered a fish chicken combo /2 extra pieces of fish. It costed me $19.24. I got back to work and discovered that i had absolutely no chicken what so ever. Three pieces of chicken. In addition to my fish being soft and greasy, my coleslaw looked and tasted as if it was past expiration. Had to throw my whole lunch away. Thanks Long John Silvers
Food was fish and fries were soggy from grease being someone who has worked in fast food I know that this is from dropping back in the fryer to reheat. The hush puppies were so burnt they crunched and jabbed my gums. I bought a two piece fish meal with fries and puppies and a 3 PC fish meal with hush puppies and fries. 20.91 I will not be wasting my money again.
Lobby continues to be closed even though Covid has past.It seems that some restaurants such as this one is attempting to create a new normal, where they only offer drive up service instead of offering a place to sit and eat.I for one am quite fed up with eating in my vehicle. If this is their new normal, then let us go to their competition who cares more about service.Let companies like this go out of business!
Gettin harder to find these guys! Still love LJS. Last run i made here was perfect. All crusoy,crunchy goodness. Nuff Sed!
Food quality is average at best. Lobby fully closed. Cleanliness is very low on the totem pole. They screwed up my order in drive thru so I walked in, they told me to get in my car and drive back around to get it fixed during lunch rush.
I really prefer this location. They're located in a convenient location, very small space if you're driving a bigger sized vehicle though. They always get my order correct and the staff are very friendly.
Not impressed with this one. Food was over cooked, and got our order wrong. But, it is hard to find good help these days, and they were very friendly when I went to take my food back and exchange. So, I'll probably give it another try.
