We had a bit of delay getting our table because they were so busy, but it was worth every second of the wait!Chef Kyle cooked all of our sides and proteins perfectly! Our party of 5 had chicken, shrimp, salmon, and scallops and it was all amazing! He was personable and friendly and our server Aisha was pretty much the bees knees as well! All around a great experience and we will be back!
Hostess seated us by pointing to our table, no menus, no one to wait on us for 10 minutes… the Bartender was our waiter!! What a treat he was with his arrogant Rico Suave self, who acted like we were an Inconvenience for him. Waited 30 minutes for apps that I had to ask three people for. Came out cold of course and the goyza was frozen and not house made. No pride taken by staff in this place. The only people working for the people to have a more enjoyable experience was the gentleman rolling sushi who was helping by taking rolls out to the section of tables in front of him. The Waiter finally got smacked and started treating us with more respect. I still did leave a tip but not a 15% one and I gave that and then some to the sushi bar gentleman. Thank you for your help! The restaurant was unorganized and ghetto, hot with unpleasant smoke filling the restaurant from bad exhaust. I bet the vents are gross and a fire hazard at this point. What a horrible dining experience and I will never be back. Food was a waste of my money, energy and time. I wish I would have spoke to management to get my ticket reduced for the horrible hibachi.
We enjoy eating at Hinode for special occasions—it is not a quick dining experience because they cook in front of you. The food is very good. If you go for the Early Evening you can get steak and chicken or steak and shrimp for the price of a normal chicken dinner. It is a good place to eat. The reason I couldn’t give a full five stars is because they are not consistent. Somedays you get friendly staff, other days you don’t. Somedays your food is off the charts and sometimes not. I still recommend giving them a try!
One of my favorite dining experiences in my life.Food was absolutely delicious (Shrimp and Salmon highly recommended) Chef's are very friendly and humorous, my cheeks were in pain do to how much I was smiling and laughing. If you want an extremely fun experience in a very laid back setting, this would be the place for you.
The food was fairly good, the chef was very personable... But we were there for 2 hours. It took 30 minutes from the time the whole table was seated to the time drinks started coming out. I understand staffing has become an issue in the last year, but this was still pretty ridiculous. Probably won't be back.
Hinode offers very good hibachi style food. The chef is funny and talented, and really plays to the group as he works. We went as a family for the kids' graduation and were seated with a young couple. They have some type of special around 5 pm, and most at the table ordered that. I do recommend making a reservation. We got right in at 5.
Tried to take my wife here for her birthday dinner. We got on the wait list (45 min on a Tuesday) - no problem! The groups before us were seated and we were all set to be next. Then we watched as all of the groups that arrived after us were seated. 45 minutes into our wait, a couple that had just arrived was seated and we were left waiting. We finally asked what was going on and we were told that the others had arrived before us. We literally watched them all walk in well into our wait! Unbelievable. Will never return.
I took A friend and her daughter to eat lunch They chef Was InfatuatedWith a young lady at the table who must have worked thereHalf of everyone's food ended up on hers on her mother'sPlayHe even had to ask for extra noodles and stillOnly gave The 3 of us half of the amount of noodles And I had to ask for enough to even give me half A normal personAgain with the MEAT And the vegetablesAlong with everyone else at the table
Unfortunately our experience was less than stellar. The hostess was unfriendly and seemed like in a bad mood, unhappy to be dealing with customers when that is her job. We got there right at 5pm on a Monday night and the wait was 35 min. No big deal though. We were seated at our table and the waitress took at least five minutes to arrive and ask what drinks we would like. She was extremely unenthusiastic and unclear. After we were all finished with salads and soup and sushi, she did not come to clear the table of these plates and bowls before the chef arrived. I had to move all of it out of the way at the end of the table because it was so cluttered. The chef cooked great food but kept oddly pressuring me to squeeze water into my two year old son’s mouth from one of his water containers. The chef had done it to my son once and we got a good laugh but then he kept pressuring me to do it to him and my son didn’t like it the first time. I kept saying no but he kept asking, it was very awkward! A lot of us had a hard time understanding what the chef was saying as he was so quiet when he spoke. Food was good but we will never be coming back to this location. Entirely unimpressed unfortunately.
Hinode Japanese Steakhouse was a great Hibachi experience in Springfield. The chef was excellent and entertaining, and the food was prepared quickly and perfectly. We called ahead to make sure that we wouldn’t have too much of a wait, and that seemed to make a difference. We also got there and ordered before 6pm for the early bird special and that saved us $6 off each meal! If you’re looking for dinner and a show at a great place in Springfield, I would check out Hinode!
