Stopped after a Costco run because of the Veteran Focus. Starters were sweet and spicy salsa, mild and queso. All excellent. I got the Carne Asada taco. It was amazing! Also bought were Havana shrimp. Soooo good, great service.
Been going here for years. Got the same thing for so long (buffalo chicken taco) then they removed it. I became a little salty towards that. Didn't eat there for a while. I have since started eating there again, forced to try new menu items, only to find out that they're all pretty amazing. Now a big fan of the Baja and Hawaiian tacos. Try the Hawaiian with the Tuna. You won't regret it. Their customer service has always been top notch.
This place is a very bland chain with Midwestern style tacos. We are just not that impressed by the food here. It was pretty good years ago in the first location but by a year later it no longer was and I'm not sure why we kept trying to go back. The service is usually decent, not great but okay but it's just not a very good restaurant in terms of the menu offerings. They have some neat ideas but the execution doesn't match expectations.
I went to the Taco Co. Saturday. I was really impressed with the service & food. The salsas were very good. The queso dip as well, was good. I had the hard shell beef tacos & the jerk soft tacos. Very good! The servers were very friendly & helpful making my visit a nice one. This is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Springfield I would recommend to anyone! To any first timers, try it. You'll really love this place! ?♥️
I only leave bad reviews if they’re completely called for and this one makes the cut. The tacos taste pretty good and fresh, but the bang for your buck is way off par. I paid over $7 for ONE taco. It says street tacos at the top of this section of the menu and with street tacos there is usually more than one. Not here. The food is alright, but the value is truly awful (even considering the trying times we are in)
Went to eat here with my family and ordered the nacho salad, my husband got the Lunch lady frito pie and my daughters got the burrito and the ahi tuna taco. Hardly any meat at all on the frito pie and nacho salad. We asked the waitress for the meat that is suppose to come with these meals and the when she brought it to us, it was cold. You only get one taco for 5 to 9 dollars. Absolutely not worth it. My husband and I chose this place due to their dedication to veterans. Will not be returning. Not worth the money at all.
SMALL OVERPRICED TACOS!This used to be our go-to place when we visited Springfield (about three times a year). On our last visit (March 26th 2022), I paid over $14 for two tacos. The last time the tacos were large, like the size of "Super Stuffer" taco shells from Old El Paso in the grocery stores. On this visit apparently they have switched to the standard small taco shells, but yet on the outside of the building they still tout their "Chef inspired, Big Tacos, Big flavor. The menu prices are for one taco, and not much more than a tablespoon each of rice and beans, and guess what? if you order two tacos, you still only get the one taco's serving of rice and beans. I'm not a large person and if you only spend $14 on two small tacos, You're going to leave hungry. So the bottom line is:That was our last visit to this establishment, and they need to scratch off the multiple signs that says "BIG TACOS"! Oh, and on their website the first line of the description says "Our tacos are huge", which is absolutely not true.
Food was really good. Kobe was our server, he was fantastic. I had the rustic burrito, wife had chicken nacho salad.
This place is just okay. I didn’t care for the garish decor and the seats are not very comfortable. Food was just kind of bland. We had eaten here before at the Sunshine location and it was very good with lots of inventive flavors and combinations, so I’m not sure what happened. Service was friendly and fine.
This place has gone way downhill over the years. I used to LOVE this place. Ordered a stuffed avocado, which used to be filling, now has next to no meat. Half the beef had no seasonings or flavor.
