My wife ordered the small order of biscuits and suasage gravy, and loved it. She said she would've ordered the medium size if she'd known it was that good. I got the burrito omelet, and it was really good! Our server was very on the ball, which means, really good. We really enjoyed our breakfast here, and want to try lunch and dinner next.
got the George's skillet with biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were a little small and doughy. (hard to beat Hardee's biscuits) gravy was plentiful and good enough. the skillet was smaller than most that I gave had, but tasted good enough. my server Carrie was pleasant and prompt. all in all, for the price, I will be getting my skillets elsewhere.
Had breakfast on Mother’s Day. This is the second time I’ve been here and the first time was good enough to return but today the food was not good at all. Ordered a western omelette and I had it taken away after a couple of bites because it tasted almost rancid. The biscuits and gravy you could tell was made with a cheap packet gravy that you can buy at the grocery store. My mother ordered the exact same thing as I did and had the same experience and sent back her food as did I. I expected much better out of this location. How hard is it to make a decent omelette? I suspect they are going cheap on ingredients and perhaps even using expired ingredients to save money because that is what my food tasted like. The service was slow as it was first time we dined here but I expected as much particularly on Mother’s Day and the server was nice enough but I will not be ever coming back here. There’s enough decent breakfast places to go without being ripped off for $30 for being served what tastes like expired food. Nasty.
? I had a fantastic Sunday breakfast at George's! My daughter and I each had omelettes, and upgraded our hash browns to Georgie's with the works. Their coffee was delicious, and our very attentive server Misty brought a carafe so my cup was never empty. Portions were plentiful and the prices were very reasonable. I hadn't been to George's in a long time, we will definitely be back!

If you like comfort food and you like a staff that is just like family serving you, then George's is the place for you! My wife has been going there for over a year now, and we have never been disappointed by the hospitality served up with the most wonderful comfort food in Springfield for us. I come from a small farm town, and to me and my wife, this is like coming home. Their Friday lunch buffet is just delicious! The waitresses, waiters, and the rest of the staff, are just good hometown people!
Always a great experience. Great prices, great food, and a friendly atmosphere. We come back every 2 weeks on payday to have breakfast together as a family. 10/10 would recommend.
This place was amazing. Some of the best breakfast I've had. The recession breakfast deal was worth every penny we spent. Hot fresh and delicious food. We will def be back again. 5 stars well earned!!
Ate here this morning and have mixed feelings about it, on one hand: portions were nice, food looked good, and the better part of it tasted good. The other, slow slow service and it wasn't busy, food was super slow getting to us and normally I don't mind this, if when I get my food it's hot and fresh BUT to be honest food waste barely warm, american fries undercooked, the oil for fryers needed changed, you could taste the burnt oil in the fries, fryers needed oil changed, had to get my own syrup bottle for 2 orders of hotcakes at our table. The other food items not mentioned were cooked well and tasted good but again barely warm. They had sign posted about slow service because of workers due to pandemic and whatnot. Although I take this into account, if your open for business, to me your saying I'm ready... I would have given a better score but if your gonna have slower service, then serve food Hot!
