The best breakfast and the nicest people. If kenzie is working, ask for him. As always, leave tip in cash so they don't get charged a card fee.
Gailey’s was a good option for breakfast during our recent trip to Springfield. They have a nice selection of breakfast foods & the service was good. I believe the building is a former historic hotel that is “well seasoned”.
Thursday late morning visit. Great service at the bar for breakfast. Facility was clean, server was attentive, and food was good. Egg was cooked to my liking, and the hash browns were top notch!
6 star breakfast!!A fantastic and unique menu that’s worth the wait.Everything we tried was awesome.Amazing historical space that is warm and inviting.Wonderful staff.Multiple indoor seating options, must wait to be seated.Street parking only but a public parking lot is within a few blocks.
Our breakfast experience was fabulous. The stuffed French toast with orange marmalade was perfect, and the El Jefe platter was huge ... and spicy. I definitely recommend Gailey's Breakfast Cafe.
We really enjoyed our visit to Gailey's. Their food is amazing, the service is great & the atmosphere is fantastic! Will definitely visit again!!
We were looking forward to having breakfast at this highly rated restaurant. It did not meet our expectations. Although there were many open tables, we were seated at a tiny 2 top while other couples and a single were at tables for 4. Order was taken promply, but we didn't see our server again until she brought the check. Another person brought our food and seemed terribly rushed. When we asked for salt and pepper, she rolled her eyes. I told her that was no way to make tips. She sarcastically said she was not our server. We were never offered coffee refills. My husband found a long hair in his biscuits and gravy. At that point, we were done. I'm sorry we wasted our time and money, since we have had better food and much better service at Village Inn or Denny's.
A group of us, 12 people, decided to get breakfast at 9AM. We did not get our food until 10:35-45 and our server did not serve food at the table at the same time leaving people eating their meal at different times. We requested to get our ticket as quickly as possible because we did not plan to sit in this restaurant for 2 hours. With the amount of servers walking around, it was a surprise that our table of 12 seems like an inconvenience. The server truly needed more help but the place seemed staffed fine. The food was very good but the service was otherwise.Definitely not a quick bite for group of people.
I ordered El Jefe! It was really good melted cheese was good idea. My wife ordered fried steak and eggs she loved that one. Waiter was super nice and helpful, she picked El jefe for me.
We really liked the food here - the place was extremely busy and service was still good. Would recommend getting here early on a weekend to avoid a wait. Try the El Jeffe!
