Best sub shop around. Went there on a promotion coupon and now will go back because they earned my business. Fresh food, great flavor, awesome environment and you get to support some great heroes. (No pun intended)I had the Italian on whole wheat with everything, highly recommend.
Firehouse is a go to hot sub shop for me. This firehouse in particular stands out from the others. I can tell the owner of this location cares and it shows. Food is always fresh, great portions of meat and consistent and I am happy to give them my money. Staff is always friendly and you can see they are always buzzing all over the place working hard.
They had been open for one hour.. the cups, lids, napkins were not stocked. The table tops, floor, drink dispenser were filthy.. 6 employees behind the counter were rude and snippy when asked for, well anything even during an order. As it got more customers, the place got smokey. Oh! Their 'sautéed mushrooms' are room temperature canned mushrooms. Strongly discourage anyone from going to this location.
Meatball sub make it sweet and spicy. Had the meatball sub many of times. Finally read all the way through they have an option to make it sweet and spicy man was it delicious. Always something new to find.
I ordered a steak and cheese but customized tonight. I asked for Italian dressing light, Italian seasoning regular and salt and pepper light and paid extra to add pepper jack cheese as well as other things on the sandwich. Well got home no pepper jack cheese only the provolone and the bottom bun was all soggy as they put the Italian dressing, chopped pickles, banana peppers on the bottom bun before putting the meat and cheese on top, bun just ripped apart. Also I couldn’t taste or see the Italian seasoning or salt and black pepper. Major disappointment. I added extra types of meat etc and paid over $15 for a sandwich that wouldn’t hold together. Flavor wise the meat was good and the products seemed fresh but if I pay for something I want to get what I ordered. Honestly won’t be going to location again. Now I know why it was completely dead at dinner time but was the closest one to me at the time. Never had this problem at other locations.
My husband and I came to pickup food on the way home from grocery shopping. It was during a lunch rush so we understood there was a wait in which we had no problem waiting. I unfortunately did not get the name of this certain employee but they kept communicating/updating how much longer it would be and when the sandwiches were ready she gave us both a free sub card for our wait which we did not expect at all but were grateful for. Because of her generosity specifically I wanted to leave this review.
Great sub for the cost! Lets be honest here, companies are in business to make money, which there are a few sub places that try and add more vegetables and less meat, but still charging a premium! Now firehouse business model is definitely different! They make sure for what you are patient that the sandwich you get is worth the value!
Usually firehouse is really good, but this visit wasn't that great. Granted, we went in late, only 30 minutes til they closed and I have worked on the fast food industry before and understand they want to get out of there quick after close so they "pre-close", but you still have to focus on good customer service and quality foods. First, we had planned on ordering it to go anyways, but after the employee rushed through our order, forgetting to put my number in for the points even though I reminded him 2x), he then said, "is carryout okay with you?" Implying that we were not welcome to stay and eat there. Then, my boyfriend's sandwich was made wrong (he hates onions and we asked for no onions but they put them on it anyways), and both sandwiches were very poorly constructed, just thrown together quickly, to put it mildly, and they were completely soggy. They usually put the pickle under the paper but they just threw them on top and the whole sandwich tasted like pickles because they didn't even try to avoid getting the pickle juice everywhere from grabbing them out of the bucket. So, word of advice, don't go 30 minutes before they close or your food will be horrible and definitely not worth the $30 dollars you spend on 2 meals.Only docked it 2 stars because they usually do a much better job, just not this time unfortunately.
Today was unfortunately the last time I’ll be eating here. It’s expensive for so little food and the saving grace of this place has always been the cherry limeade. Today, I placed an online order. It was made late and I had to wait despite ordering a half hour ahead of time to make sure I wasted as little of my lunch break as possible. Then, after I pointed to the sign that says “ask a crew member for limes” the lady who brought my sandwich out said it was only for the cherry limeade and they didn’t have limes. I didn’t even get to ask her why they had a sign saying that before she walked away. How do you not know what a sign says in your own place of employment?! The drink machine ended up being out of order anyways. My order was wrong. It was just a nightmare. Jersey Mike’s will have my business from now on.
Awesome sandwiches ?. So tasty. I just wish they would stop putting pickles with my sandwich when I tell them no pickles. That's my only complaint.
