I come for the free music out on the patio, but dang the food makes everyone come back. Great, friendly staff. Come on!
I'm highly unhappy with the new renovations done to Ebbets Field. Ebbets used to be a place where most college kids could go for dinner and a drink and it not break the bank. Wings went up 10 dollars, Theres no more pizzas (which have been there for 23+ years), taking down the memorabilia of what Ebbets is all about is insulting and not what Ebbets was about, beer pitchers went up, wing sauces are awful (no buffalo sauce should taste like cinnamon). They have stopped caring about the history of Ebbets. It's named Ebbets Field for a reason named after a famous baseball field. Used to be a place to go after Springfield Cardinals games with names of foods related to baseball which is obviously not a thing anymore. Ebbets was like my second home in Springfield. It was a place that a whole group of friends could go and hang out no problem. I'm unbelievably sad and won't be returning until sadly one day I can afford it again. I'll miss it but cherish the memories I had of the REAL Ebbets Field not this fake off brand version of it.
Showed up with a birthday party of 30. Plenty of space on back patio & food was good- the food that made it. Server took drink order, brought drinks & some requested apps but never returned to take food orders. From that point, we had to write down our own orders & go order our own drinks from the bar. Server ended up leaving work in the middle of our time there & did not return. Of all the food we ordered, 30% of the orders never showed up. When it was time to cash out, the staff could not produce all of the receipts & so expected us to give them all of our orders verbally so they could ring them up. I've never had worse service anywhere in decades. Unfortunate, because we heard it was a great place. I realize restaurants are busy & understaffed but a large party should be worth the effort if nothing else, for the tips. Big thumbs down from us & our multi-family party on this place. Never going back. If done properly our orders would have easily totaled around $500 with $100+ in tips. Opportunity lost.
Three of us went there on a Saturday night. We were the only patrons in the bar and we ordered 2 burgers and one grilled cheese. It took an hour and 15 minutes to be served. The grilled cheese was ice cold - it literally looked like someone took two pieces of white bread, did not toast it, and scooped Tostitos queso dip in between the bread. Even worse, the cheese smelled sour/rotten. None of the burgers were made correctly (none had the extra patty they asked for) and tasted dry and bad. All of the onion rings were burnt so badly that they were hard and inedible. Thankfully, the server comped all of our food so we only had to pay for the drinks. Incredibly disappointing I would not recommend ever going here for food and I do not plan on going back.
Came with a group of 6 before a concert close by. Sat upstairs and were greeted quickly and gave our drink orders. After 15 minutes I went to go find our drinks and saw them sitting on the bar. I helped our server bring them to our table and shortly after our food came out. I had to once again leave the table so I could ask someone for napkins. My wife had a salad and none of the pre rolled silverware had forks. Food was okay. Pre-breaded frozen onion rings on my burger for example.
I hear this place has been here for years, but we’ve just discovered it!… And loved it! Great ambience, great service, and great onion rings!
Hands down the only reason we keep coming back is because of Seth. He is always so nice and welcoming when we come and goes above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of.
Burger was super dry and over cooked. No where near a quarter pound as they advertise. Onion rings we're super greasy. Overall don't waste your money on a 8 to 10 dollar burger that should be sold at more like .99. also smelled really fishy inside. Service was ok but really slow.

Cool place to hang out for a game. Service was great and the atmosphere was good! 1 thing, eat before you go unless you want to drink a lot then eat the food. Food, well it's bar food. We will go back for drinks and watch a game.
