While traveling through Springfield, my husband and I decided on an adventure meal over a chain restaurant. Cafe Cusco did not disappoint. Actually a local shopper agreed that it was great place. Wait staff was welcoming and answered menu questions enthusiastically. Our meals, Chicken Rojo, an open-face sandwich and Chicken Para Rayos, chicken, shrimp and vegetables were unique and delicious. The historic building was the perfect setting for a memorable lunch.

For Mother’s Day celebration on a Saturday they accommodated us with an outside table w sun shade and opened the back gate so a person with a walker could easily enter the patio! The food was terrific and the service was even better. 2 years ago I rated them a 4… they fully earned their 5 today!! Thank you!!

I wish my review was going to be different. So many people that I work with absolutely love this place so I hyped it to my spouse until we finally could go. We went on a Friday at noon, not busy looking at all inside and the patio was almost empty. We decided to eat on the patio and were seated within a minute maybe two. After we had been seated and we're looking at the menu a group of six came up and we're also seated outside. By the time they had gotten their drink orders taken and had drinks brought out we still had not met our server. The group of six had their orders taken and that server said they would find ours as they had not come out yet. Our server comes out we make our drink and food orders in one go as we had been sitting for 15 min by this point. We get our drinks quickly and after another 30 min. (It was 12:45 by this point) I go in to use the restroom and see our exact order sitting on the pass through for the kitchen. I go back out let my husband know what I saw and we wait another 5-7min with no sign of our server still. He goes in to inquire about our food (it is now 12:53) and he meets our server they grab the food I mentioned to him and bring it out citing the large party upstairs has slowed the kitchen. ( That may be but why was it sitting for so long on the counter). We eat and the food at this point (we had spicy chicken tacos) was sogged and the shells were falling apart. I finished eating last and we started a timer for five minutes to wait for the check to come. From the time the food came out we again never saw our server again for drinks or to check how things were. After a full five minutes we went in to the hostess to pay. At which point the server comes up and has our ticket. We pay and before my husband has even finished signing it the server left again. Never asking how things were just in and out. Over all poor service, not very good food and just disappointing all around. Proceed with caution. I know it has great reviews but we didn't see that side of this business at all.

We enjoyed our food. The ceviche was nice and tangy. We also order the rabbit which was not too gamey or tough. It was surprisingly good especially for rabbit. The fried guacamole was a little much just because it was so much avocado to eat on one bite. The chunks were thick, but good to share with someone else. It filled me up quicklyThe salsa was mild and hearty. I liked it alot. That is all we ordered, but we were stuffed! I also liked the decor.

Neighborhood gem on a quiet historic main street. Peruvian inspired menu and separate vegan menu available in century old building. We chose olive trout which was a trout filet with kalmata olive tepanade and mango puree with some tomato and spinach and rice. The mango sweet balanced the olive salt perfectly. A half portion is pictured. Also ordered was a seafood stew with rice served in a bowl which was also delicious. For dessert we picked a light and flavorful warm fruit pudding using a native South American fruit. We enjoyed having the upstairs dining room to ourselves away from the busy, bustling dining room downstairs.

Aesthetic charming place. Light Andean music in the background. Good somewhat authentic Peruvian food. Lunch specials are a deal. Not very good choices dessert wise. No expresso coffee, just black. Best to go across the street to the coffee shop. Cocktails need major improvement. They could be stronger and larger size (watered down, small glasses half full of ice making the drink even more watery). Order beer instead. Good service. Street parking.

I was skeptical of this place but they had a vegan menu and we had to try it. It was excellent! They sell their own sauce as well. Our waiter (guy) was one of the best I’ve seen. He was soooo friendly and patient. The food was excellent. I never expected to find a place like this in the Midwest. See the pictures.

We went here on a date with friends. The place is super unique in design and food. I got the duck and it was super good would 10/10 recommend and go to again.

We walked in and were told we had a 25 minute wait by the hostess. Trevor the server walked up and sat us immediately upstairs. It was empty up there with a beautiful view and quiet. Trevor was an amazing server! Super knowledgeable. Everything was amazing. It is a high dollar restaurant, so make sure you are ready for that. Everything was delicious.

I was looking for an adventurous place to eat. Cusco it was. It's like they knew what I was looking for. Blackfish! It was a punch in the mouth with layers of flavor. Very bright. Just amazing! For dessert, I had the mazamorra. Delish! I really wanted to lick the bowl when I was done. Atmosphere was warm and cozy. Waitress was great and fun to talk to. Make reservations though, it's popular. This place is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
