Staying 1 night at a nearby hotel I decided to search out some bbq food. The 2 front of house staff were super friendly and attentive, and definitely added a star to my rating of the restaurant.I chose the 2 meat combo platter, opting for ribs and burnt ends, with macaroni cheese and fried okra. The burnt ends and okra were great, the ribs however needed more cooking, and the mac and cheese wasn't that cheesy. Portion wise, there was a substantial amount, more than enough for my appetite.
Was decent, to many fly and the food was hard like it had just been warmed up.
Bubba's BBQ was excellent! I had my fave, the Burnt Ends.Actually my wife and I had the pick 4 meats and two sides meal.Burnt ends, brisket, pulled pork and hamSides were fried corn on the cob and fried Okra.All were superb! Great service, great food, the place was clean, food hot and fast.Would recommend and certainly will return!
The girls working were really nice and sweet. That was the best part of the experience. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. I've definitely had worse, but I've also definitely had better. The worst part for me, though, were the flies. I realize that it's hard to control completely, but when I spend more time waving bugs away from my food than actually eating my food, there's a problem.
Driving from TX to VA, stopped at Bubba's BBQ for a taste of home-made food. Lots from which to choose -- didn't see sausage/link on the expansive menu, so we chose a brisket sandwich with fries and a smoked turkey sandwich. The brisket sandwich was piled high with juicy, well-smoked brisket. The smoked turkey sandwich was lightly smoked, but not sure it was actually from a real turkey. It looked like a pressed turkey breast because the slices were so large. It tasted OK. I would recommend the brisket the next time I go there. I bought a bottle of the "Gold" sauce to take home and enjoy. The servers/counter staff were very attractive, cheery, and helpful.
First time in this place, Lovely atmosphere inside and food was awesome, I had the 1/3 cheeseburger my wife had the burnt ends with Okra and Slaw (pic included)
Excellent smoke flavored meats better then most I have ever had. Friendly service.
Service was good, food was ok. Potato salad was really good.
Some of the best BBQ we have had in Missouri, very friendly, good price and very clean. If you are in Springfield you should look this place up.
Awesome food ! Meat is smoked to perfection. Good side beans and potato salad is great. while your there try some of the Moonshine !
