Couldn’t be seated in patio, reserved (says hostess)…. What’s up with that, no one showed up. I went out there after no one showed up there after a couple hours (brunette bartender had no answers, thought I was being rude asking about it being open, so had an attitude, said “well, you can go out there but you won’t have service.” Great attitude, right? Ginger bartender and server Faith made up for it. Those two were great.
we made a trip to branson for my 50th birthday and on our way back home to East lynne Missouri we went out of the way to eat at Big Whiskey's. I ordered the viking burger and a 3 dip appetizer.. my husband ordered chicken and my daughter ordered a burger. We were all completely satisfied. Every restaurant we ate at was kind of blah and one down right awful. Big whiskeys won the day with excellent food and friendly, fast service. We highly recommend Big Whiskkeys.
Wow, what happened to Big whiskey? Everything was so good last time I was here. But today the shrimp is overcooked. My sandwich was bad. The fries were cold. I don't think they did anything right, including the long waits and a very bad drink with putrid strawberries.I am embarrassed that I took somebody to your restaurant before lunch today. I know you have a higher standard than this and I hope that you find a way to get back to it.
Love big whiskeys! The all you can drink mimosas is a great deal and the boom boom shrimp tacos were awesome!
I’ve been here twice and both times have been sooo disappointing. The first time I got a steak and it was covered in a very strange sauce that I did not ask for. Then tonight I ordered a chicken quesadilla and the chicken tasted like it was fresh out of a can. I’m 99% sure they BOIL their chicken instead of grilling it. And to top things off my meal and my husbands both came out cool. In fact, our mashed potatoes were so cold, I’m wondering if they just took leftover potatoes out of the fridge and warmed them in the microwave for a few seconds. Do yourself a favor and just get fast food, it’ll probably be better. Or at least go somewhere like Flat Creek instead where the food is actually cooked properly.
An average place to go but an above average place to pay. Dont order long islands cause they don't know how to make them and they come in one of the smallest glasses I have had as well as weak drinks. Salmon was average at best. I wont suggest the place but I will meet people there if that's what they choose
Called before we arrived to ask about wait times they said "there's no wait time." So we make the 10 min drive park and walk in once we get there we are not greeted by anyone nor acknowledged so we wait for approx 10 mins or so then I call them to get someone to the front so we are already off to a poor start then we get seated I order a steak medium cause I have never been here and want to see if they can cook basic food the steak comes out rare so I send it back they bring it back 10 to 15 mins later still rare I only gave it 2 stars instead of one cause they were willing to comp the steak I do not recommend coming here at this point if they can't cook a simple steak.
Server review: We called ahead to reserve a room for a private event. They did not prepare for our event what so ever. Multiple people in our group did not receive their food including the birthday girl after everyone was done eating. After someone finally asked what orders we where missing the food was brought out wrong. When it was “corrected” it was brought at wrong again. The steak was waaaaay over cooked, food was cold, sauce was wrong. If you are wanting to having a big event here think twice.Edit; Emailed the reply below and never got a response back. So much for “making it right”. I’m glad this post has gotten over 500 views.
Pretty unhappy with my last encounter witn Big Whiskey's on Republic Rd. Ordered through the app, for curbside pickup. I arrived a few minutes before estimated done time. Just as the app and sign outside said, I checked in through the app. After 10-12 minutes past the estimated finish time, I call (I wasn't too worried and figured they were busy). The gentleman tells me my food has been ready the entire time and that the sign says to call when you arrive. The sign clearly states to check in through the app, nothing about calling. Get back home, 9 minutes away, and the fries are of course cold. But now the big problem, the burgers are very pink. Had to drive back for replacements and by the time I do get to eat, we are an hour and a half past our original finish time. I understand things happen, and I absolutely don't leave bad reviews if even just an apology is offered. But no apology, for anything. Should have went to Black Sheep.
Very satisfying food, Service and staff attentive to needs at table of 8. Prices moderate, portions big enough to share. Refreshments range was impressive. Parking at door. Wheelchair accessible. Warm weather patio on West end. Easy on/off Republic Rd.
