They were super busy, and unfortunately like a lot of places are still short staffed. The girl who took our order was cheerful and welcoming. Our food was tasty, and of course the fries are to die for. My one criticism would be the condition of the eating area. I understand that it's hard to keep up with it all when you don't have enough staff, and are busy, but I wanted to give an honest review. I will absolutely go here again, and would recommend it to anyone else. Please keep in mind that these folks are doing the best they can in a difficult situation.
As waiting to order you could see the kitchen was disgusting, only 4 employees, couldn’t get my order right then our burgers had grease oozing out of them. Was the worst experience in a long while
Covid definitely changed things here. Not the atmosphere it used to be. Stand in line and order before sitting down...
Loved their burgers and fries.large amount of fries. Always ate at Steak and Shake in Independence . Just found this one , but will definitely find it again and again! Love it!
Food is hot and fast but the service is questionable. Some days are better than others. Plus you do all the work. Walk up order, get your food, and bus your own table.
The food is delicious, we liked the serve yourself style and the staff was nice.
We pulled up to the drive thru, there was 6 cars in front of us. The lobby was less than half full. We waited over 45 minutes in line to get our "fast" food. I saw at least 6 employees working. Absolutely ridiculous. I have worked fast food and I could have taken care of all of the customers by myself faster than the 6 of them did. Terrible experience. Then to top it off, our order was wrong.
Absolutely terrible. So terrible I took the time to write a review. Multiple times had to wait 20+ minutes In lobby and In the drive through. Watched a manager berate their truck driver for showing up early while my food sat on the counter getting cold. Whole store is a joke. If I'm going to pay $15 for a burger and fries I'll go somewhere where I can get it in less than 20 minutes. Trash
Super disappointed in our shakes tonight. Ordered 3 small Oreo and they had very little Oreo. They tried telling me it was just ground up so fine I couldn't see it. Dumb. They weren't even shakes.. ran some ice cream into a cup, put some whipped cream in it. barely half full.
On the cheaper side which is awesome. I didn't realize your reg. fries tasted like cardboard though.
