Kehde's is a fun place, everyone is friendly, and the food is great! There's lots of railroad memorabilia (you can even dine in a railcar if that suits your fancy). I love the root beer in chilled glass mugs, and fresh cut fries and it's all good. I especially like that it's locally owned and one-of-a-kind and the barbecue is great, along with everything else ?. Prices are reasonable too..

I had the Alamo and fries and it was great we also had an onion bloom that was awesome The atmosphere is great. My little girl loved playing with the toys in the lobby and ride the toy quarter ride horse. When I was a kid they used to be outside of grocery stores and stuff.
It was our first time here and we loves it. We will for sure be coming back, prices are very affordable.
Dining in a train car was cool. The Guberburger was not worth the stop. Sorry this place was a flop for me. Yellowed shreds of lettuce and sad looking tomato slices accompanied a tiny patty on an oversized bun. Expected something better for a price of $8.
We made a day of Sedalia and Trains! Ate in the famous Train car, blew the train whistle and played with the fun train set at the register! Great food and service. Ya gotta go.

Prime rib was not like the picture description just meat and bread. Curbside services usually pretty good but was absolutely terrible tonight and the place wasn’t busy.
If you like smoked meat you will like this place. They keep barbecue sauce on the table. Your table is in an old style dining car on a real authentic train car, in Sedalia.
