Average decor, not great service but exceptionally good food. We started with Ceviche which was delicious. The right amount of spice and fresh seafood. Cocktails and wine were average priced. We moved on to the entree. Excellent halibut, very fresh and perfectly prepared. It came with delicious mashed potatoes and perfectly cooked asparagus. Some of our group had crab cakes both in a sandwich and as a dinner. My rating reflects the food itself. The chef had his / her act together. Everything was the proper temperature, properly cooked and tasted great. It is obvious that all restaurants are “staff” challenged. The good ones are still able to put out exceptional products. This was our first visit to Pearl, we look forward to our return.
We arrived for lunch/brunch on Sunday. We were celebrating our anniversary. We were promptly seated and the flies descended on us. Staff was ineffective in getting rid of the flies as their swatter did not work. The food was high priced and not particularly tasty. We would recommend going to another restaurant.
The last two times that I was there, they did not honor their “happy hour” seating or pricing. 1. Asked for happy hour seating but they sent me to the regular seating and pricing and attempted to charge the full price. I left before they served the overpriced appetizers and drinks. 2. They published half-priced drinks on their happy hour menu but charged the full price. When I asked the dummy waitress, she said that to receive the half-priced drinks, you had to specifically ask for the cheaper brands of alcohol. This was not stated before I ordered. I will not be going back and will also tell as many people as possible not to go there because of their happy hour scams.
Omgosh the crabfest last night was spectacular! Excellent service considering they were taking care of 60 people that had RSVP’d. The food was so good. They started out with a lovely garden salad. Next course was AMAZING Mac and cheese. Next course was the crab/shrimp/sausage/potatoes/corn dumped on the tables. It was delicious and very good! And then a peanut butter cheesecake for dessert. All included in the meal. They seat everyone family style at the tables and you just pass everything around. We’ll be back!
great great! oysters & halibut were delightful. service was polite and courteous. thanks.. found my new spot!
Great food and great service
Went for happy hour. We were there for the start of happy hour and as the afternoon wore on…the number of guests increased. By the time we left is was really full in the bar. The tables are pretty close together but it was never so loud you could have a conversation. Our waiter was great and made sure we had everything we needed. There were quite a few happy hour choices and they were all good. We had the crushes, a refreshing drink on a hot day.
I just moved here with my fiancé so this was my first time here. I honestly wanted to go somewhere else because I felt like the seafood boil was a bit expensive and I was correct. It wasn’t worth the price and I wasn’t able to enjoy it anyway because there was some ones hair in my food. My fiancé called and he was going to bring it back but It wasn’t worth the drive back. He needed to get some sleep because he’s a truck driver and had to go to work. I will never come back.
Excellent service. Waiter was wonderful. Food came out quickly and cooked to perfection. I had the fresh salmon and it was delicious. Key Lime pie was good also, a large piece big enough to share!
My family and I went here for brunch today. And I have to day that for the most part it was good. The peel and eat shrimp was amazing and the caramelized Brussel Sprouts simply delicious. We had the mamossa flight it was good. My biggest issue was the Eggs Benedict. There was no discerning flavor at all the crab cake was mushy and the Hollandaise sauce was this and bland.the poached egg was over cooked the yolk was like a medium boiled egg it was Mediocre at best. The restaurant was beautiful but the menu was not thought out. We will go back for dinner menu.
