We sat at the bar and had good service. The corona shrimp tacos were to die for! Best shrimp taco I’ve ever had. Ask for the spicy hot sauce :)
I like JP and likely will return but haven't been for awhile. The server was really bad and made alot of excuses which none of them made any sense at all. They were busy but not overly busy and had plenty of staff to handle. In fact, they had several standing around doing absolutely nothing (I'd fire them). Our table was dirty and basically told our server she will need to give us a hall pass since it was 3 minutes after 6:00 and we should be honored the happy hour prices since we were sitting there for 15 minutes not being waited on. Glad she saw it our way because we would have left. We don't play that game. Back to the server, she seemed lackadaisical and kept forgetting everything at all tables including ours. It was very odd. The food was tasty, but cold. Margaritas were your standard run of the mill Margaritas and okay. Probably stick with Margaritas restaurants as they never miss a beat on anything.
Great food, especially love the queso. Only problem is they are not the best at getting orders correct. Chicken substituted for beef, missing slushees in kids meal, once did not even get the chicken that was the entree of the kids meal, etc, we have an issue almost every time we come here. Make sure you thoroughly check your bag before leaving if you get carry out here. Would still recommend though because their food is very good, one of our favorite restaurants.
Waitress was wonderful, my husband's plate arrived incorrect and when she saw it he didn't have to say anything. She just went and brought him the correct meal. My children told her this was my birthday celebration and she brought us dessert on the house!
The waitress (5 star) was great. She was extremely busy but was very considerate and attentive through out the service. The food on the other hand was not so great . Red Chili Mexican Rice tasted really strange. My sons Burrito was dripping grease. My wife stated she thought the chimichangas did not taste fresh. It appeared the plates were under a hot lamp or put into an oven for a bit and baked the cheese onto the plate. Had a weird smoky taste when mixed with the other food. It was a definite let down and I won't be going back to this location.
Ordered the parmesan crusted, shrimp and avocado quesadilla. I had chicken substitute the shrimp and it was amazing.
Love this place.i enjoy the family friendly dinning, it's always busy which is a good sign. The waiters are usually very good and attentive. It's definitely texmex so don't expect authentic Mexican food when coming here. There food is very good and they always give you such large portions of food. The only complaint I have is the changing table in the women's restaurant is so high and to be honest if I was any shorter I wouldn't been able to use it.
The white cheese was amazing! I also enjoyed the steak fajitas.
Beautiful setting, amazing vibes, attentive and kind server, and the best tamales I've ever had. 10 out of 10 man. Puff taco Tuesdays are worth the price. ?
I am so upset with Jose Pepper's in Lee Summit. I normally come to this restaurant for their delicious Burger. When my husband and I arrived we were seated right by the front doors and every time someone opens the door freezing winds come in. Not to mention that the whole place was freezing. I had to wear my coat the whole time feeling the goosebumps on my arms the whole time. How bad is it to at least have the heater going in a restaurant. The waiter keep forgetting our refill on chips. I don't know who is cooking in the kitchen but they gave us waffle fries that were hard as rocks and my burger was raw in the middle. I'm not talking a little pink I mean alot of pink. Then this lady came to the table that I thought didn't work their because she didn't have a uniform on just regular clothes. She looked at me and then the burger saying Oh My that is pink. Then I notice she had a ear piece in her ear so I Then knew she must be working at the restaurant. I told her about the fries as well. So took my fries and my husband's. Which he didn't want her to do that because he was still going to eat his. They gave me a free meal which I would rather have something else but my appetite went south and my stomach started gurgling like it was upset and I went home using the bathroom. The raw meat hit me real bad. I feel like they need to either fire the cook who possibly gave me food poising because now I will never come to this restaurant ever again.
